  A little lost paradise in south Cambodia needs your help!
  
  We are situated on Pak Klang beach in Koh Kong province, just 8 km away from the border with Thailand.
  From March 2020 my husband (Thibault )and I (Marija)made our dream come true by opening a small guesthouse with a few beach huts and a bar / restaurant on the beach itself. And you as part of the tribe will be sleeping in one of those huts. Our goal is to make our guests feel like home, and since we live on the land as well we like to make everyone feel as part of the family. We try to be innovative and always bring new ideas to the project, and we are very open to new ideas from a different perspective such as yours!
  
  The neighborhood is peaceful; you will be surrounded by mostly small restaurants owned by very lovely locals.
  There is a local fisherman village and market just 10 min bike ride away from us. We are 10km away from the city and it is reachable by scooter that you can easily rent from somebody for cheap.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Take this chance to get to learn more about the Khmer culture by living among the locals. There is a lot to learn from their history and their life philosophy. Personally, that changed the way we see life. The Khmer are the warmest people I have met. Here you will get to meet a lot of travelers too; all having a unique story to share, and an opportunity for a lot of friendships to be made. We love learning languages too, we speak English, French, Macedonian, Croatian, Bulgarian and a bit of Spanish so if you speak or wish to learn any of these languages it would be a pleasure to exchange knowledge. In addition to that we like to do DIY projects to create anything from decorative objects to chairs and tables, so if you are feeling crafty it would be lot of fun. By helping us you would learn about business management as well. We would love to find a way to help the community as much as possible therefor any help will be greatly appreciated by the locals too.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for a motivated couple / 2 people that will help us for a minimum stay of one month. Since we are getting a big amount of messages thank you for understanding that we might be a bit slow with answering.
  Unfortunately we cannot host solo travellers.
  
  
  
  We have 2 local staff members , a cook and a bartender and we (the hosts) are working in the same roles.
  
  We need an extra helping hand during one month with the following:
  
  1. Help with the guesthouse, welcoming customers, showing them their room; giving info about tours and activities around
  2.Helping with garden/beach clean up
  3.Making sure guests have a good time
  4.Housekeeping
  5.Craft projects - making signs, decorations etc
  
  
  We are asking for 5h of help per day; 5 days a week, in exchange for accommodation and meals + drinks,30% discount on our menu , access to bycicles.
  We are looking for someone that can stay at least a month.
  
  We also need someone that can create our website and can propose a shorter term exchange, feel free to send us a message, available from September until May!
  
  Please note that rainy season is from June to late October so anyone applying for these months must have in mind that it might be raining every day (although this year the raining has been very mild and we have a lot of sunny days) , and since we are right on the beach we might have storms very often. Everything is waterproof and safe but it can be overwhelming for someone who hasn't experienced this weather before.
  
  Please note that we get lots of requests every day and we try to be as responsive as possible, but we go through messages for the following month first and answer requests for later months a bit later so sometimes we take a few days to respond, thank you for your patience!

  Unterkunft

  You will be accommodated in one of our beach huts, equipped with a matres, mosquito net, ,some shelves to place your things. We provide shared bathroom that include toilets and showers (hot water!)

  Since we are located on the beach itself there is nothing better than a relaxing beach time for your time off. If you are more of a sportive person the Cardamom mountains offer you trekking in the jungle. You can explore the waterfall, do a boat trip in the mangroves, go for a day in Koh Kong island . You can socialize with the guests and we can all hangout together. We will most likely host parties so expect that it will get wild sometimes. After all the place is called “Young wild and free ’’ ;)
