    Description

I'm in desperate need of help from now until the middle of July. I start Calving the beginning of next month and foaling the month after that.
I have some health issues, My rotator cuffs are worn, I'm getting arthritis in my joints and i had a heart attack so I can use the help.
I own and operate a hobby farm, I raise dogs and have a couple of horses, cows, and chickens.
I am expecting a couple litters of puppies that I need help with plus chores and some maintenance.
My love of animals made me decide to start raising American Akitas, We have been doing this since 2008. I have a couple of horses for riding. I have a small herd of cattle. I also decided that I would start raising chickens for their eggs, and I sell chicks. In the summer, I plant a garden for fresh produce.
We are located in Niton Junction, which is located one and a half hours west of Edmonton. Niton Junction is a small but active farming community.
I am a very sociable person and while here you will get to meet many of my neighbors. I have a second trailer (home) that is being rented out, (presently unoccupied).
The farm is 160 acres of land and consists of a shop, two mobile homes, a bunk house, a couple of sheds, a couple of chicken coops, dog kennels, a round pen and corals.

The basic chores (feeding the dogs, chickens, calves, cows, foals and horses.
Some of the expected duties that you may be asked to do may include but are not limited to: help feed the horses, dogs, calves or chickens. I started feed some of the dogs a raw diet, so some days we will be trimming meat and cutting meat for them. We will also be cleaning pens, shoveling snow or raking leaves, mowing the lawn, fixing fence, exercising and brushing the dogs, working with younger horses, help with foaling or calving, assist with halter training the foals, help with the horses while they are being trimmed or doctored. ,exercising horses, some farm maintenance (ex. fencing, gardening, general cleaning) and some house hold duties. Depending on the date of your stay you will be shown how to operate the quad, tractor, and pickup truck. Knowledge of horses or cows would be an asset.
Foaling or calving can start any where for April until June. During this time, I will need help with the mares and foals and will have started foal watch, same with the cows.
When the weather gets warmer we will start working the horses again.
The hours we work vary on the time of year and the weather, some days may be very busy while others we may be just doing general chores. On really rainy days, or when the weather is miserable, nothing besides chores will get done so when the weather is nicer we might work a little longer. Chores take generally a couple hours every day during the summer months.

I would appreciate good communication in the beginning when it comes to days off and when they are wanted as I needed to plan around those days. I would appreciate at least a day's notice of some sort. I will make an effort to accommodate you to the best of my ability.
It would be nice to find someone that can stay longer than a month. I might take couples.
I do have a whats app account for easier communication.
