Description
I'm a British man, 52 years old & have loved living in Granada since 2002. I'm a carpenter builder gardener & have dreamp of living on a farm again since we left our family farm of pet's when I was 18 years old. My dream came true last autum when i began to live on my farm with a few cat's & chicken's. Idealic for traveler's to absorb the beautiful nature & to care for wildlife. There is an abundance of outstanding mountain hikes & Gueja Sierra lake on my doorstep.
I'm cultivating a wide range of fruits, vegetables, vines, tree's, herb's & flower's, harvesting ecological food throughout the year.
The vibrant Granadan village Gueja Sierra is 8 minutes walk & the most visited castle in Spain - the Alhambra in Granada is 30 minutes drive with regular public transport or my van. I'm located just beneath the peak's of the Sierra Navada reaching 3479 meter's above sea level & the ski resort is 20 minutes drive. One hour's drive to the Mediterranean coast.
The whole area is surrounded by trees & the spectacular mountains form a micro climate sharing much south facing growth & freshness under the tree's.
Please feel free to help work with the nature & taist this oasis of natural beauty.Types of help and learning opportunities

After 24 years of sharing my house in Granada I've enjoyed a lot of cultural experiences with many nationalities, exchanging languages, food, music, hobbies, professions & exercising our bodies, minds & beautiful souls.
I lived in Austria ,Slovakia & Greece before landing in Granada in 2002.
I offer my permaculture skill's & love learning from others. So far this year I'm cultivating about 50 types o fruit's & veg to share with Workawayers. I would like to learn from hosting visitor's, improve my cooking skill's & diet, what visitor's needs are to make there stay extra special, permaculture, exchange hobbies & way's of thinking.
I grew up on our farm, learnt how to cultivate corn, mushrooms, hay & straw, strawberries, many vegetables, 300 free range chicken's for there egg's, loved my own cow, & cared for many types of farm animals which were pet's, not for meat to eat.Help
I am only requesting help in my private home/garden to cultivate fruit's, vegetables, herb's & flower's.

I left England when I was 22 year's old & have since picked up bit's of languages living in Austria, Slovakia, Greece & Spain. I'm not so clever with gramatics in any language but enjoy offering conversational English & SpanishAccommodation
The accommodation is basic, 1 bed in the workshop/stable, a 3 man quechua tent, + soon I will finish erecting the dome big enough accommodate 6 people. The kitchen is sheltered outside with a rocket oven, sink & water e,c,t.
The bathroom walls are made of mud & straw, the roof is made of bamboo, it has water, sink, b-day, bath, shower & a compost toilet.
The solo power charges the pump for a shower in the bathroom or you can transport it to shower under a tree in the sun. The solo power charges computers, phones light's & other small electrical devices but is limited, depending on the Spanish sun & how many people use it. I live here alone & can provide enough sola power electric to host a few workawayer's needs.
Most food is Ecological, fresh from the vegetable patches, tree's, vines & bushes. I offer to take guests to the supermarket to chose the basic foods that I'm not cultivating yet.
I cook us 1 healthy ecological meal per day & Workawayers can help themselves to the food & drink's that ate growing. I will provide basic foods bought from the supermarket & try to buy what each guest prefers. If you would like to eat when I work outside from home then I would suply the meal for you to cook & ask you to work less time, 3 hours instead of 4. I normally eat late but enjoy sharing meals. What else ...
Take a swim in the lake, enjoy the most amazing walks/hikes beneath & around the Sierra Navada, join in on a choice of cultural events in & around Gueja Sierra, visit Albaicin, Granada & the Alhambra castle.
Frequent public transport to Granada number 139 + I have a touristic van.
Sometimes I work during week day's near by & ask if we can work together in the evenings, mornings or weekends, I'm flexible with when the gardening suit's you. The help I'm requesting is at my private home/garden with no financial business.
Wildlife & plant growth friendly.
