WE HAVE OVER 30 YEARS EXPERIENCE of hosting climbers, walkers, paddlers, campers, cyclists, mountain bikers - solo travellers as well as families and activity groups. Fiddle and clarsach, guitar and pipes have played late into the evening and many a 'craic' has been enjoyed round the camp fires at the hut hostel and on the camping ground.
All volunteering with us is a reciprocal exercise. You help us and we hope to help you in developing your skills, understanding our culture and perhaps even in personal growth. You are welcome to join in alongside our two families, our team, neighbouring volunteers, our village and the National Park with its mountain ranges, fast flowing rivers for canoeing and tubing, bike trails, Highland Games and more. We both guide you and maybe learn from you encouraging you to explore and participate wherever possible in the rich Scottish scene surrounding us. Explore by a bike we can lend you, on foot, by bus, on the steam railway, visit Highland Games, Folk Museum, Wildlife Park, Motor Mania, drama, talks, music, festivals. Each time of the year has something going on. If you bring a musical instrument or can play our guitar or piano you will have an instant fan club. When we had clarsach and bag pipes being played here alongside our Bluthner piano we had a festival of our own. Superb.
