We are a guesting farm in the heart of the Israeli Negev desert.
We are based on the very simple facts of desert live, and the place is created that way. A Succah is a simple hut made from wood and stones, no floorboards and no roof tiles, just palm-tree leaves as cover. Everything is very quiet and peaceful and close to nature.
We have 8 Succot that we rent out to guests. We make them breakfast and on the weekends also dinner.
We call this farm our home. For the owner, long time workers and short time dwellers, we want everyone to feel home, comfortable and loved.
We constantly thrive to improve the quality of the place, without killing the magic of it. So we are in a constant process of renewal and improvement.
Our Succot have solar energy and water canisters. There is no running water or toilets in the succot. We have central ecological toilets, and shared showers.
We have animals, that live with us. We have horses, donkeys, rabbits, chicken, peacocks, cats and dogs. Most of them roam free, and are only protected at night.
The farm servers only vegetarian food, but the workers and volunteers are free to make themselves meat when there are no guests.
In the summer we also open our pool, which normally operates from april till november. The pool is open for all guests and workers of the place.
The evenings we normally spend together with our guests and have a drink or small meal in our Yurt Coffe.
Helping with Tourists
Our volunteers will learn the simple desert live. With little electricity and hardly any cellphone reception live is reduced to the basic live. Getting up and with the sun, and also going to sleep with the sun. Working physical in the desert surrounding can be tempting in the beginning, but cleans body and soul in a way that words can not describe.
We need help in all aspectes of farm and hosting work. This includes help with the cleaning, washing dishes, help with the animals, help in all our building and renewing projects, help with the gardening and generell maintanance

You will have a Succah that might have to be shared with other volunteers. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared and seperate from the succot. Full accomodation is provided.
The Succah is quite remote, 8km outside of Mizpe. Tramps to and from Mizpe can be arranged. Busses go from Beer Sheva to Mizpe Ramon on hourly basis. We would just ask you to arrive during daylight.
Free time can be used for hikes in the area and the phantastic ramon crater. If you have enough experience you can also take our horses for a ride.
A friendly beduine has his camels with us, also camel rides can be joined and on regular basis we have dinner together in his beduine tent in the crater.
