    BACKGROUND
Most of the world’s ecosystems and areas rich in biodiversity are home to local communities and indigenous peoples whose livelihoods and cultures depend wholly on them. Ensuring an integrated livelihoods and conservation nexus is of utmost importance to our priorities for environmental social safeguards, social development therefor has a central role in our agenda ranging from gender, human rights and indigenous people.
In line with our commitment to strengthen the social dimension of our projects, our social principles are fundamental to creating, effective, lasting and equitable solutions to today’s environmental and social challenges.
Most indigenous communities living in Cameroon are historically marginalized as their communities’ faces several challenges in an ever-changing Cameroon.
Cameroon can boast of extraordinary natural capital, admired and envied by many. However, this capital remains rapid, large –scale and in most cases, irreversible transformations, thus adversely affecting the ecological footprint. Infrastructure development and increase trade are changes pregnant with promises of greater prosperity for all.
Poverty is a major constraint to building and nurturing sustainable relationships as the poor inevitably become both the victims and willing agents of ecosystem degradation and biodiversity. Sustainable poverty reduction and economic growth in Cameroon rely on conserving the country’s rich biodiversity and sustainable management of her natural resources on which many and enterprises depend.
    WHAT IS THE PACKAGE
The project is aimed at providing technical support to indigenous people and their communities in achieving the sustainable development goals.
    WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Any interested person with any professional skill that can be helpful to any of the different thematic areas or projects is highly welcomed.

LEGAL, MIGRATION INFORMATION HUB COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND OUTREACHING PARTNERSHIP PROJECT.
    BACKGROUND
Regardless of the dangers, migrants are willing to risk their lives in many cases due to the bureaucratic and difficult process of legal migration. High regulations on migration laws have had the opposite effect of regulating migration, making it simpler, and many times the only viable solution to migrate illegally, in the hopes of reaching a destination where one can potentially get a better life quality and benefits. As such, the dangers of illegal migration are many times downplayed by aspiring migrants, and consequently exploited by migration brokers and other actors that profit from illegal migration schemes and human trafficking.
Given the rise in illegal migration flows in the last decade, governments around the world, in departing and destination countries, have sought to implement a strategy of awareness on the dangers of illegal migration, and the benefits by migrating through the official channels. Therefore, different governmental programs have partnered with NGOs around the world to bring the best information to communities around the world. The current proposal is included in the awareness campaign attempts, and it sought to provide meaningful information as well as raising awareness to the issue of illegal migration, and the safer and legal ways communities in Cameroon might opt to when deciding on migration.
    OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
    ● To provide comprehensive information on the legal migration procedures and integration into the host countries.
    ● To facilitate legal migration.
    - To increase awareness relating to the dangers of illegal migration
    WHAT VOLUNTEERS CAN DO
    - Help in increasing awareness in relation to the dangers of illegal migration
    - Help to develop a comprehensive information booklet on legal migration procedures for their countries and other countries
    - Conduct surveys on migration related topics for young persons
    - Help in facilitating legal migration by providing advices on via application, study and wok opportunities for their countries and others.
