Our hostel opened its doors in 2005 and it was Albania's first hostel! Run by an Albanian-Dutch couple; Ilir and Celeste, the hostel is located in a spacious and aesthetic old villa, with a beautiful, big back garden, in the very center of town, near all the main sights of Tirana.
We also organize day tours for our guests and we are always thinking about and creating new projects in the interest of the environment and the town in order to make Tirana and it's surroundings more aware of it's precious nature!

Cultural and social insight from a local perspective, we love long conversations about history, culture, politics etc. Short trips in villages/parks outside Tirana where we'll meet locals and see how they live. All possible tips about cool places in town and what's going on like festivals, shows, fairs etc.
We need help in: improving our space, garden, common spaces, interior design; adding travel info and advice for guests, figuring out better ways to display that info physically and online; create a cheerful social atmosphere and exchanging culture and travel experience; walk out and give more love to our dog; everyday help in keeping things tidy.
4-5 hours shifts, 5 days a week.
Hostel provides sleeping, breakfast, dinner (which volunteers cook themselves) and smiles. All food is vegetarian.
Atmosphere is relaxed. We'd like everyone to feel like part of a team, we help and support each other and keep up a cheerful spirit, it has worked until now.
Creativity is welcomed.
