A boutique hotel with extremely high standards. To keep the standards high requires relentless effort and obsessive attention to detail.

YOUR ROOM
A large room in a beautiful house on the main street of Koyasan, close to all amenities and close to the great Buddhist temples, pagodas, university and museum. There are hiking trails nearby, and a bus stop right outside. You can see the great gate called "Daimon" from your window.
NO AIR CONDITIONING / CENTRAL HEATING
Koyasan is a MOUNTAIN, so it is FREEZING cold with endless rain from December until April.
THE GARDEN
The garden is 100% chemical free and in the summer we grow herbs.
* Work starts soon after 7am.
* Food is vegetarian / vegan but includes fish if you want it. No meat.
* Smoking ok in the garden.

There is NOTHING to do in Koyasan.

I am an experienced and educated host with a wealth of knowledge. I am a Buddhist with an extensive dharma library. I am keen to learn from Workaways, with whom I have had a great deal of fun in the past.
