Description
We run a camping site in Cherating east coast of peninsular Malaysia. Our Camp site is a labour of love. It is a safe and welcoming place for campers to relax and meet like-minded people.
Are you a citizen of the world? Are you looking for a place to meet a big river that flows in and out to the ocean. Then this is your call! Come on board and share your stories, talents and passions. We are trying to build a welcoming community for travelers to enjoy a home away from home.

We have a a beautiful river and ocean and surfing season, and a tourist destination. We also have 2 cats and 4 dogs that we happily taking care.
If you have a skill, talent, are creative or can perform and want to share you skills we are ALWAYS happy to learn.

First of all, you should know that this is not a job opportunity, instead we welcome you as an active member of our family!
We prefer if you stay for at least 2 weeks. That allows us to really get to know each other and make this experience not only about the help but also about the cultural exchange, making it more meaningful. It is very important for us that you have the chance to immerse yourself in the day to day of our beloved project. If you have only a month for traveling, we would not encourage instead you should have fun traveling and this is from experience of many 'no show', it affects our schedule. We also had once failed to host a volunteer at the early stage in our workaway program when we wasn't organize and accepted too many volunteers resulting in not enough beds available, she was very disappointed and ever since we never fail to accept volunteers we agree to host again.
We are looking for vibrant people than can help us create an awesome and interactive environment. Some of the things we need help with are:
- Reception (Checking guests in/out)
- Help cleaning
- Paintwork / Mural design
- Small renovations
- Designs
- Gardening
And even though we have a list of ideas we'd like to make happen, we are always open to suggestions and we encourage you to have initiative and bring your own flair to our nest!
We don't mind couples, but some of the activities require only one person, so we hope you don't mind to be split up.

This is a guesthouse with a very nice vibe. Very relaxed and welcoming.
The amount of work is well balanced and you got enough time to experience Kuala Lumpur on your offtime.
The work is very simple. Cleaning, reception, breakfast preparation and from time to time special projects.

i worked in the hostel for 2.5 weeks (march 2017).
it was really nice and the environment in the hostel was super nice.
the work was quite easy (5hours per day/5days per week).

I absolutely loved my time in KL! I volunteered for about two weeks in November with the greatest group. Willi, Nati & Max are the greatest hosts and I truly enjoyed working with them. I loved the cozy environment so much that I'm now back in town staying here again for two weeks.

I had so much fun here! I just stumbled into the hostel and asked Willi for work, and he took me in like I was family :) There was always something to do and new projects to take on, so you'd never get bored. We spent over 2 weeks helping out here and spent awsome times there. Very central location, walking distance to almost everything in KL, and if needed you have the buses / subway opposite the guesthouse.
