Description
I am an accountant with my own small practice. Whilst my business is a way to pay bills my passion is to be in the wild with nature exploring this amazing country of mine. Weekends are spent hiking or camping
Divorced, empty-nester with 2 cats.
An initiative I have taken is to educate from the grass roots level by teaching the school children to pickup litter they see on the ground and properly dispose of waste.
We need to partner a Private School with a rural Government School in field trips for a hiking trip and whilst on these trip collect as much litter as possible with an interschool competition. As I work full time I have not been able to give this project the time it needs hence the help to coordinate, create a website and online flyers.

Help
As a Guide / Lead of an outdoor club of Zimbabwe, I have noticed an alarming amount of litter mostly plastic packaging. The Zimbabwe people in general have a bad habit of throwing their litter out of vehicle windows, on the floor and in general not environmentally aware of the effect it has.
It is a new Startup project to educate from grass roots level by teaching the school children to firstly no to litter and also to pick up litter they see on the ground and properly dispose of waste.
I require volunteers to assist in the following duties.
1.) Travel to Communities in and around Harare to do a visual assessment and report on their findings directly relating to the environment and the direct impact of littering.
2.) Speak to locals on how the community can help to clean the environment of the existing litter.
3.) Document an action plan to partner a Private Schools with a rural Government Schools in field trips and collect as much litter as possible with an interschool competition.
4.) Brain storm on community based activities to encourage protection of the environment.
