    Description

    Hi Everyone!
We are an eco lodge with two wonderful treehouses and other funky eco-chic accommodation options starting to receive guests for maintaining its sustainability in Alto Paraiso de Goias, at the Heart of the Brazilian savanna.

We operate within the principles of permaculture throughout everything we do, planting organic, recycling materials to the maximum, bio-building and bringing body, mind and spiritual healing through retreats that happen in this super special jungle positive vibration location on the world's largest crystal bed surrounded by hundreds of waterfalls. There is a conservation project in action whereby we are finding nice neighbours to populate the valley instead of cattle farmers that deforest and deplete the valley's vegetation for pasture. We are currently looking for funding and planning an animal sanctuary for wildlife that gets run over and needs to be reintroduced.

We love permaculture, animals, planting our own food, agroforestry, art, music, health, spirituality, medicinal plants, treehouses, community, ecology and aiming for a different future for us all...co-creating and co-existing in harmony with Nature.

We cook delicious vegan meals and provide ingredients for 3 meals that can b cooked by yourselves as a group or individually, sometimes we make soups in the evenings but people can also make other types of food if soups are not enough. workawayers have a nice fully-equipped jungel kitchen which needs to be kept in order, where we provide everything u need in terms of food. we are actually known for cooking the most amazing meals for our friends and you can see that in our comments. Any extras like wine, beer, chocolates and the likes can be bought in town by us for the workawayers once a week, but is considered as a personal extra.

    SPECIAL POSITIONS:

There are positions for people who want to stay a little longer and take part of the core group here with us and if you want to live here with us for more than 3 months there is even a little cash on top of food and accommodation!

Experienced and keen cleaner needed in Brazilian TreeHouse Jungle Paradise!
This role includes cleaning, washing, organising, juicing, help with cooking and generally ensuring the property maintains it’s fresh, clean and unique vibe. Practical support and general assistance for the project coordinators. Best suited to someone with an open and flexible attitude. Nature lover!

    Jungle Cook
We need someone with experience in vegetarian and vegan meals to prepare food for the main house and volunteers so that they learn and demistify that living without meat is actually super yummy and possible. Also, the role includes taking care of the fridges, the food deposit and the groceries shopping.

    Nature Secretary
Our ecolodge needs help in our office in the mountains! If you have experience with administration, you might be suitable for this role, which includes helping with phone calls, accounts, bookings and general staff assistance. Fluent Portuguese is required, since the person will be dealing with many tasks that demand communication with Brazilian people involved with the project.

    Volunteer Officer
Our ecolodge is always receiving volunteers to help us with the project. For that to happen, we need someone to constantly write and reply emails, take care of our profiles on volunteers sites and also make sure everyone feels supported once they arrive.

    Animal Lover
In our ecolodge we have dogs, cats and a few small wild animals, such as birds and monkeys, that need some attention. If you like to take care of animals, you could help us with feeding, bathing and spending some time with our little fellows.

    Horse Hand
Currently we are looking for someone to help us train our horses, as we want to be able to go by horse to the closest waterfalls.
You don’t really have to be a horse whisperer, of course, but we do need someone who has worked with horses before. We currently have four horses, and need help with taking care of them. We are looking for someone with experience, who enjoys the company of our majestic creatures, and someone who’s not afraid to get a little dirty.
This position includes daily care of the horses, feeding, brushing (including: removing dirt from hooves, removing ticks, brushing mane and tail), washing, and riding in the beautiful nature surrounding us.
All of our horses walk barefoot and we ride them bitless.
Here's a little info about each of our horses!:)

    Morena- 10 years
Morena is the leader of the group, she’s a well behaved horse who knows her craft. She’s a Mangalarga mix. Though she’s not afraid to go a little fast, she’s also suitable for the more inexperienced rider.

    Pluma- 2 years old
Pluma is Morena’s daughter, she’s currently learning how to walk on lead, and we don’t ride her yet. She’s a mix with Lusitano and Mangalarga, and a horse with a lot of personality!

    Kalinka- 3 years old
Kalinka is a sweet and fierce Pampa horse. She’s a little quick to her feet, and we’re training her to calm a bit more down. She’s also more so on the smaller side, and is best suited to be ridden by shorter individuals.

    Byron- 10 years old
Byron is our biggest horse, and he’s a pure Lusitano. He’s a very gentle and nice horse, but a little unsteady in his walk and trot. He needs someone who can keep his attention, and someone a little gentle at hand. But make no mistake, he’s still a strong horse with good disposition.

There are people from all over the world coming to stay here. The conservation project and socio-environmental work that Marianne carries out with the local communities regarding the fires are very interesting for those who have interest in environmental issues and conservation. There is always bio construction going on, gardening, caring for animals that are rescued and end up coming here and basically carrying out everything according to the ethics of permaculture is an interesting introduction for anybody who is wanting to delve into another way of life. Going to town on their free days they can visit the local organic farmer's market and get to know the local community.

  • Help

    Help

We want people who can help us with the cleaning and organising of the house and spaces where guests will stay so we can concentrate on developing the websites and PR to get these guests here. The place is quite large and full of objects from all over the world but being in the jungle doesn't mean that the place doesn't get as dirty quickly as in a city and we need to constantly harmonise the rooms and house so that when people arrive they are happy with the cleanliness.

There are also other chores such as our beautiful gardens, maintenance, painting, upsycling, etc. The spaces are beautiful and during these chores we are looking out onto amazing landscapes surrounded by astounding nature so its really not a boring cleaning task...one is always super connected with nature. there are many other things that we can do together as well but we need people who are ok with cleaning as that is important for us.

Helping with the animals is also a very important task for us and involves feeding them, washing them, walking them, training them and having fun with them too.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are many waterfalls and amazing nature trails to b visited in your free time although these are not in the immediate vicinity...we are on a dirt road which is not the easiest but one can call taxis or moto taxis to go to town and it takes 30 minutes (40 to 80 reais local currency). we have had woofers here for the past 4 years and everyone loves it here...we have a rock pool and finnish sauna and trails in the forest. we receive resident artists and yoga and other retreats and there is always an eclectic mix of people here as we are also running this conservation project trying to find nice neighbours to buy the land that belongs to locals that are wanting to sell. we grow our own shiitake mushrooms in the forest and our greens and bananas and papayas and avocadoes and much more...anyone wanting to experience permacultural systems, alternative technologies and a more natural lifestyle in style, beauty and comfort with fast wi-fi will love it here.
we speak several languages and are open to receive peops from all over as long as they are green & open-minded, respectful, hard working, and willing to learn. we do not eat meat on the premises and visitors should be prepared not to cook meat here either.
Our lodge rocks and we need help to make it shine even brighter!!!
