Hello! I am Miguel. I am 34 years old and between June and November I dedicate myself to restoring an old lost house in the mountains of the Sierra de Gredos. It is one of the houses of a practically abandoned village between the 50s and 60s, built with materials from the area by the people who lived here.
Nearby you can find various waterfalls, rivers and pools, other ancient buildings, centuries-old trees, wild animals, etc... You can do activities such as traditional and sport climbing, bouldering, bike routes, mountain races, slackline and others.
I am looking for people who like nature and want to help me in this construction project. I speak English, French and Italian apart from Spanish.
Today the project has changed a bit, we formed an association in order to repopulate the area and we are advancing in the rehabilitation of a haystack for a common house.

Hola! Soy Miguel. Tengo 34 años y entre junio y noviembre me dedico a restaurar una vieja casa perdida en las montañas de la sierra de gredos. Se trata de una de las casas de una aldea prácticamente abandonada entre los años 50 y 60, construida con los materiales de la zona por la gente que aquí vivía.
En las inmediaciones podréis encontrar diversas cascadas, ríos y pozas, otras construcciones antiguas, arboles centenarios, animales salvajes, etc... Se pueden realizar actividades como la escalada (clásica y deportiva), rutas en bici, carreras de montaña, slackline y otras más.
Busco a gente que le guste la naturaleza y quiera ayudarme en este proyecto de construcción. A cambio proporciono cama y comida. Hablo ingles, frances e italiano aparte de español.
A día de hoy el proyecto ha cambiado un poco, formamos una asociación con el fin de repoblar la zona y estamos avanzando en la rehabilitación de un pajar para casa común.

I welcome people who can help me in DIY, rebuilding an old stone house. We will have to do cement, concrete and break a rock inside of the house.
Reinforcement of dry stone walls, construction of a concrete beam on the walls and raising of the walls with bricks.
As for food, we will go to the supermarket together so that you can choose what you want to buy to eat (obiusly I will pay). We will eat together in the house where you will be staying.
En cuanto a la comida iremos juntos al supermercado para que podáis elegir lo que queréis comprar para comer (obviamente yo me haré cargo del coste). Comeremos juntos en la casa donde estaréis hospedados.
Necesito gente que pueda ayudarme en trabajos de construcción, reconstruyendo una antigua casa de piedra. Habrá que hacer cemento, hormigón y retirar una piedra en el interior de la vivienda. Refuerzo de muros de piedra seca, realización de una viga de hormigón sobre los muros y subida de los muros con ladrillos.

I speak English, French and a little Italian, I am learning Portuguese. And I would like to practice any of them. Hablo ingles, frances y un poco de italiano, estoy aprendiendo portugues. Y me gustaria practicar cualquiera de ellos.
Accommodation
Right now we are working in the construction of the common house for a future community. You will have to stay in a tent and sleeping bag. Like if you where camping in the middle of the forest. There will be improvised showers and the wc will be the mountain for the moment. We hope to finish the common house as soon as possible to have a roof and Refuge.
Estamos trabajando en la construcción de la casa común para así poder crear una pequeña comunidad. Tendréis que hospedarnos en tienda y saco de dormir, como si fuerais a acampar en medio de la montaña. Hay unas duchas improvisadas y el baño es en la naturaleza (una hazada y un royo de papel). Esperamos tener la casa común tan pronto como sea posible para así tener techo y refugio.
What else ...
Public transport is very bad, you can only get to the next town by bus and there are not many throughout the day. If you can get around by car there are a thousand plans to do in nature.
Anyway there is buses from Madrid and Ávila to the town next to mine, Burgohondo, where I can pick you up.
El transporte publico es muy malo, solo se puede llegar hasta el pueblo de al lado en autobus y no hay muchos a lo largo del dia. Si te puedes mover en coche hay mil planes que hacer en la naturaleza. De todos modos hay autobuses desde Madrid y Ávila a burgohondo, donde os puedo ir a buscar.

There is a nearby caravan area to collect water and empty the tanks. You can also park 5 minutes from the house. Hay un area de caravanas cercana para coger agua y vaciar los depositos. Tambien se peude aparcar a 5 mins de la casa.

From crocodiles to giraffes, every zoo is welcome. Desde cocodrilos a jirafas, todo zoo es bienvenido.

It was really cool to help restoring an abandoned house and learn about eco-buildung and the history of the place. The area around there is pretty amazing, you have an amazing view of the mountains, there's a waterfall nearby and the abandoned villages around are worth a visit.

The only thing negative is that she doesn't agree that french cousine but who is not gonna say her home country cuisine is the best ;-)
It has been a great experience hosting Sierk, he was allways offering himself for help. At the construction site he even bring his own tools.
