    Description

We are a 3-member family and we live on a small old farm with our 4 Lamas our goat and our chickens and ducks.

My husband is a Mechanic, I am a Qi-Gong teacher.
In the summer I give creative courses at the farm in my own pottery workshop for young and old.
We have Wooly-Lamas, and I started to dye and process the soft wool with natural herbal remedies.
Craftsmanship, such as painting, fence repairs, or the design of the workshop or the garden, are continually falling.
In the case of an exchange, there is simply a spontaneous working together where there is just a need for man.

We are looking for people that are willing to help us with the daily work also, like feeding the animals or cleaning the stables, ... the work is never to hard, but it seems that there is always something to do ;-)
We are really thankful people, I am cooking nearly every day and also I am making the laundry but for us it is assumed that if we are living together, you also clean your own things like bringing your plate into the dishwasher, or cleaning your own stuff.....
If living together is a passion or even a new experience for you and all that sounds nice for you then we would love to host you for a longer time also :-) minimum stay is ten days or two weeks because of oue family system, it needs tme to show and explain and answer your questions -so at least 10 days fits best for us.

I love beeing creative and love to share some handcraft-works with our guests too, if you like- sometimes your work can be a creativ part, depends on the season, your skills and if you wanna do something creativ- depends of course also on the season and the other work that has to be done :-)
We love discussions at the fireplace, making music, playing drums or flute ...
So we sometimes work a lot but then we absolutely appreciate having freetime and relax in our beautiful home and outdoor space with our chill-lounge with hammocks, Finn Sauna, have the forrest behind the house or the nature park next to a river 5 min away- which is perfect for runs, hicks or bycicle-trips...

We are eating during hte week mostly vegetarian, but not always (!) My daughter is strictly vegetraian, I am trying to live veg. ...but on the weekends we sometimes eat fish, or meat, so there is always enough veg. food, but of course in case you don´t like the meal- you can cook yourself or take as much food you want from the fridge. :-D
We love the nature and also want our child to be connected to nature, with a feeling and respect, cultural exchange is very important to us, whether by travel or many of our friends, we are always open to new things.
We are looking forward to every kind of cultural exchange.

    :-)

We are looking for different help. Perfect would be if you are flexible and willing to help :-D We NEVER ask for work that is unpossible or dangerous, but there is everyday something else to do. Can be weeding in the garden, helping with picking seasonal fruits, produce juice, marmelade, vegetables in glasses, but also cutting brenches, repairing fences, cutting bushes, paint something, if you want feed our animals, I would be sooo... happy to get someone that can work with tiles...so glueing them in the small bathroom ;-D ... can be helping with cleaning when I have a lot of other work or cooking if you want ... so first we always find out what fits best :-)

We are looking forward to working in cultural exchange, improving English and teaching English to our daughter.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

I am self-employed and working as a Qi Gong teacher, making decorations and giving seasonal
workshops in working with clay in my own pottery. So of course if you stay long enough you can learn and produce some potterys-but that takes at least 4 weeks -so really for longer stays- but also your work could be if your creativ to paint something or do some easy things that I show you!

I am practicing Qi Gong every second or third day- I love to share some private lessons :-D

If you are interested in learning about animals, I love to talk about Lamas :-) and can show you how to handle them- they are too cute!
I am also dying and spinning the wool, so if someone is interested in that- I am happy!!!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You can live in our brandnew little wooden house, small, but cosy, a wooden stove- double bed, table your own little terrace next to the house- to have your privacy in your free time :-) You will find a "small kitchen" in the house or better an oven to heat up food, or cook something for your self if wanted.
If you don´t like- it´s also possible to live in our daughter´s room on the first floor of our house-there is only on room on the first floor ;-) -in both cases we will share bathroom and kitchen.
Normally I cook every day, but if not you will always find something in the fridge or get a box of fresh food to help yourself. We are asking for help, so we want the people to have fresh and healthy stuff ;-) !

We live next to the forrest, but with connections of bus, one minute from the house- 25 minutes to Linz.
I go every friday on the eco-seasonal market, of course you can share, would be a pleasure.
We have a lake area with a sports park to reach in 10 min with bicycle, the forrest is right behind the house-
a nature resort 5 min away with celtic ritual places in a fantastic healing resort with hiking ways were you can walk and explore for many days... we are living on a small hill, but perfect for bicycling- a flat area down the hill, we
have bicycles for workawayers- there is a small town with 2 shops, 2 bakerys, 2 restaurants and 2 bars you can reach in 7 min,
a bus station 1 min away... the bus goes to Linz the capitol of upper Austria it´s famous for its museums and down town. It´s a city with 220 000 people, nice for shopping and visiting the old castles... there is a lot of history to explore if you like.
