    Description

    We are an Irish-Australian couple with a 5 year old son. We have travelled around using couchsurfing and warmshowers a lot. Now we are back home in Katherine, Northern Territory. We both work almost full-time, which keeps us busy and we are renovating our house, which keeps us even more busy!

    Katherine is an interesting little town with a great community spirit and some lovely spots to visit such as the Katherine hot springs, Nitmiluk national park (Katherine Gorge and Edith falls), Mataranka thermal springs nearby.
    We have lived in Katherine for a good few years and so, can offer you plenty of local advice.

    We're looking for someone / a couple who would like to do one or more of the following: -

    * provide some childcare at weekends
    * help with digging, planting and weeding
    * painting (house), tiling
    * general housework

    In return we can offer a room, food and relaxed space to explore Katherine from!

    Ideally we're looking for one person / a couple who are able to commit to 3-4 weeks, preferably longer, but if that's too long, shorter is fine. The minimum would be five nights.

    If you want to know more about us, ask to see our warmshowers or couchsurfing profiles!

    We have lived and worked in the Katherine region for many years so could offer some local insights. We are pretty well travelled and enjoy spending time and sharing stories with others from around the world. We love food, wine, music (mostly listening, sometimes playing), and we enjoy socialising (as much as is possible with a little one!). So you are welcome to meet our friends and enjoy a few beers with us, or come play frisbee, or sing, or whatever we are doing. We fully appreciate that you might not want to spend all your time with us! So you do whatever you feel like during your free time, of course!
    We may have bikes for your use - only requirement is for you to repair if you puncture/ break. Happy to share our home and things with you generally.
