Help with dogsitting and enjoy the culture in Mendoza, Argentina

  We are a Young Family (Juan from Argentina, Charly from Germany and our sons Jacinto -5 years- and Camilo -3 years-) renovating a house of almost 100 years. We met traveling and now we are in Mendoza where we want to keep our house open for other travelers. In the house are also living two lovely Dogs and one also lovely cat :)
  
  This year (2025) we will be living elsewhere. We are looking for someone to look after the house, the animals and the garden (mainly watering the plants). Although we won't be living in the house, we will keep on doing activities in the house and be around frequently.
  
  Juan is an artist and musician (sings, plays guitar and drums) and organized for several years cultural events in the house. Charly likes doing handcrafts and gives German lessons. Together we like being in the garden growing our own food.
  
  We already have been volunteers as a family in other projects aswell. In Argentina, Germany and Netherlands.

  Somos una familia joven (Juan de Argentina, Charly de Alemania y nuestros hijos Jacinto -5 años- y Camilo -3 años-) renovando una casa de casi 100 años. Nos conocimos viajando y ahora estamos en Mendoza dónde queremos mantener nuestra casa abierta para otros viajeros. En la casa viven tambien dos perras amorosas y un gato amoroso :)
  
  Este año (2025) estaremos viviendo fuera de la casa. Buscamos a quien pueda cuidar la casa, los animales y el jardín (principalmente regar las plantas). Aunque no vivimos en la casa, seguimos realizando actividades y estaremos presentes.
  
  Juan es artista y musico (canta, toca la guitarra y la percusion) y organizó por varios años eventos en la casa. A Charly le gustan las artesanias y ademas da clases de Aleman. Juntos nos gusta estar en el patio y la huerta cultivando nuestro alimento.
  
  Ya hemos sido voluntarios como familia también en los proyectos de otros. En Argentina, Alemania y Paises Bajos.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  As we met traveling, we really like the cultural exchange and we are interested in other languages. The exchange of one's own culture with that of the other as well as exchanging knowledge and experiences of travel and other cultures. We are also self-taught, that is, we like to learn to solve any problem that comes up being creative and curious. We are interiodized in the world of music, art and crafts, of conscious food and sustainable agriculture so we can give refferences and make contacts with people from these areas. The house is very well located, near the center of Mendoza, so you have easy access to the points of interest of the city of Mendoza.
  
  Como nos conocimos viajando nos gusta mucho el intercambio cultural y nos interesamos por otros idiomas. El intercambio de la propia cultura con la del otro como tambien intercambiar conocimientos y experiencias de los viajes y otras culturas mas. Además somos autodidactas es decir nos gusta aprender a solucionar cualquier problema que se presente siendo creativos y curiosos. Estamos interiorizados en el mundo de la musica, del arte y de la artesanía, de la alimentación conciente y de la agricultura sustentable por lo que podemos dar referencias y dar contactos con personas de estos ambitos. La casa esta muy bien ubicada, cerca del centro de Mendoza, por lo cual se tiene facil acceso a los puntos de interés de la ciudad de Mendoza.

  Help

  The main task is taking the dogs for a walk, feeding the dogs and the cat and giving them fresh water, watering the plants and cleaning/maintaining the house and garden. Some weekends we have some cultural or musical events in the event room of the house. Occasionally tasks can come up for preparing those events.
  Twice a week we will be working together during the morning (generally mondays and wednesdays -can change-). Those days we finish work having lunch together (those two days lunch is on us). The other three days you are flexible in organizing when to work (morning/afternoon) and you organize your meels alone.
  We calculate 3 hours per day, 5 days a week. The two days where we work together maybe 4 hours. Sanitary products are not included, please bring your own.

  La tarea principal es dar un paseo con las perras, darles de comer y renovar el agua para las perras y el gato, regar las plantas y la limpieza/el mantenimiento de la casa y el patio. Algunos fines de semanas hacemos eventos culturales o de música en el salon de la casa. En ocasiones pueden haber tareas para preparar tal eventos.
  Dos veces por semana trabajaremos juntos durante la mañana (generalmente los lunes y miercoles - puede haber cambios) y terminamos la jornada con el almuerzo del cual nos encargaremos nosotros (solo estos dos dias). Los otros tres dias podes organizarte flexiblemente en que momento del dia trabajar (mañana/tarde) y te organizas con tu cominda.
  Calculamos 3 horas por dia, 5 dias por semana. Los dos dias que trabajamos juntos quizas 4 horas. No incluimos productos de higiene, porfavor traer lo tuyo.

  Private room in the house with shared bathroom.
  
  It's important that everything you use (kitchen, cleaning etc.) after finishing goes back to its place ready for the next use.
  Also that everything is used carefully so it can last long.
  
  It is possible that at the same time there are other workawayers as we have 2 rooms available.

  What else ...

  The house is located in the city one busride away from the terminal but you can also walk in 30-40 minutes. Mendoza city is not very large , we are located very close to the San Martin Park and you can reach the most interesting places in the city. And depending on expectations of the traveler we can advise you which sites or activities to visit. We are also one block from one stop of the tram.
  
  La casa esta ubicada en la ciudad a un bus de distancia del terminal aunque se puede llegar caminando en 30-40 minutos. La ciudad de Mendoza no es muy grande, estamos ubicados muy cerca del parque San Martin y se puede llegar a los sitios mas interesantes de la ciudad. Y dependiendo de las expectativas del viajero aconsejarles que sitios o actividades pueden visitar. Estamos tambien a una cuadra de estacion del tranvia.
