  • Description

Hola familia from all parts of the globe,

Thanks for checking out our page and we hope we can give you a little insight as to who we are and our project that is unfolding slowly, steadily and with much determination.

We are a couple who met in Mexico a few years ago, fell in lurrrrve (we won't bore you with the story) and decided to finally make roots somewhere this side of the world. I'm from the UK and been travelling on and off for the last 10 years while my husband is from Colombia and been on a similar flow.

We are all about making life as beautiful as possible. That's why we are committed to our mission on living in balanced harmony with Mother Earth and going back to basics.

I'm a yoga teacher, Reiki healer, energy worker, massage therapist, writer, musician, dance perfomer and unending student at life. JJ is by heart an artist who manages to turn anything into something creative but also a yoga teacher and massage therapist too.

We've taken a little bit of a diversion this last year in becoming more agriculture and construction based so we can get this project fully underway! At present we are building a house (because we are getting tired of being in a tent for so long) and making a beautiful garden too.

We are still in the beginning stages of constructing a home for us to live in so if you come to visit please keep this in mind! We are almost done now so you might even help us finish it and get to stay in the new space...

As travellers, we love to share and meet others who are on similar and different paths. However, because of the intense process we are in (constructing a home is kinda big you know and we doing it with very little manpower) we ask that you be willing to come and bear in mind that we are rustic right now. Back to the roots!

The land is about a 40 minute hike from a town called Mocoa where the Andes and start of Amazonic territory meet. The town itself is kinda small but busy so you can stay connected when you need to and do other things like Western Union if that's ever required. For us the beauty really is outside of the town and in the jungle that surrounds it; there are plenty of waterfalls, national parks, rivers, wildlife and forest to explore.

Local indigenous communities are also here and in surrounding areas. The main origins are Inga and Kamtza who have a strong lineage of plant medicene. We recommend that you speak to us personally if that is what you are interested in :)

Please bear in mind you will be in a place that is off-grid so there will be no connectivity on the land to electricity. We also wish to emphasize that although we are trying to live in harmony; just our existence has an impact. However, if we make conscious choices we can limit the way in which we do that. Therefore we ask anybody that comes to keep an open-mind at looking at how they interact with nature and try to not damage the land e.g. no bathing in rivers with soaps

You'll get to stay with us and share some good times as a family. There is access to plenty of rivers and we have a few small waterfalls with a big one that has a natural pool.

You'll get a chance to see the seeds of a project to helping Pachamama. If you've thought about buying land and wondered what the process is like from the beginning; then its a really good way to get first hand experience.

We'll teach you as much as we can about the plants in our garden and our building process – but you might even end up teaching us more!

  • Accommodation

You can stay at our house in one of our tents. We have a few mattresses but not many blankets. If you have your own equipment then bring some of it.

We are trying to be in harmony with the land so there is dry toilet. Also there are tons of places to bathe but we ask you don't use soap in the rivers (organic or not). We have a very simple shower if you wish to use soaps.
