  • Description

Hi! I'm Samantha. I'm a free spirited, positive, friendly and creative Scottish woman who thrives in community and nature. I'm motivated by my genuine care for people, humanity and animals. I am endlessly curious and interested in people, their stories, how their minds work and I am passionate about self discovery and enjoy nothing more than deep, philosophical conversation. I believe people are the most valuable and important thing in life and everyone deserves the freedom to be themselves.
Over the years the things that have brought me the most happiness are community, travel, exploration, adventure, music, peaceful moments singing by a fire or watching the stars. I enjoy a peaceful and simple exitance and try my best to embrace every moment in my day to day life.

More details about my language interests
I took Spanish lessons for a few weeks when I was travelling Costa Rica and I would absolutely love to be able to speak and understand more fluently. I also understand a little Portuguese as I've spent a lot of time with my friends who live in Portugal, this is also a language I would love to be fluent in.

  • More details about your skills

I completed my 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training in India last year and 50 hours of Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Scotland. I've been teaching for the past year and not only have I gained copious amounts of experience of Yoga and how to be teacher, I have also gained confidence, the ability to read a room and use my intuition. I have also planned, advertised, sold out and ran Wellness days and events over the past year.
I volunteered in a Spiritual Retreat centre in the Trossachs in Scotland for 6 months helping in the kitchen cooking and preparing vegan and vegetarian meals from scratch, cleaning, hospitality and upkeep of the entire centre and rooms and gardening. Throughout this time one of the most valuable things I learned was how to live and thrive in a community space and how to hold space for people who have been through deep traumas and want to better themselves. I discovered I am extremely practical, hardworking, patient and thrive under the pressure of a busy kitchen preparing meals with love for over 50 people. I am naturally good at getting things done and have an ability to be a calming presence around and during stressful situations.
I have been practicing Reiki for over 10 years and I have my own Reiki Business. Reiki is my most valuable tool and over the years it has deepened my compassion and made me a better person. I have volunteered with a Suicide Prevention Charity offering Reiki.
My Mum is an extremely independent, handy woman and has taught me many skills such as painting, building, how to navigate and make use of a toolbox and given me the attitude that I can do anything I set my mind too and anyone can build a skill with enough want and determination.
I volunteered in the Portuguese mountains over the summer on my friends farm helping with their chickens and baby chicks, harvesting and planting fruit and vegetables. We also helped move their outdoor kitchen to a new indoor kitchen which involved knocking down walls, building structures and worktops out of wood, painting, cleaning and carrying a lot of different items.
I have vast experience in admin, I have been a PA, worked in accounts, sales, reception, cafes, and charities.
