Description
Hi, We have a beautiful small farm in a scenic valley. Riverside with a good swimming hole. We are in Whangaroa, near Kaeo and the awesome beaches of the Bay of Islands, Northland, New Zealand. We try to live the "homesteaders" life, the farmlet is not a business but contributes to our family's self-sustainability.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are an organic small lifestyle block. We live a simple life. We have a self contained cottage for self catering. It is best for you to have your own vehicle. The closest shop is 10 minutes away. The property is in a very beautiful quiet and peaceful location. The river is lovely to swim in! We are adjacent to a Nature reserve of Conservation Native Bush. Great hiking on the doorstep.
I can share with you good local knowledge of the area and teach some of the indigenous uses of native plants and trees/rongōa māori. I have extensive knowledge and practice of Natural holistic health body/mind and spirit. I am also experienced in natural landcare stewardship/kaitiakitanga. I would love to share and learn more about plant medicine traditions from your country. I am exploring cosmolocalism and bioregionalism utilizing web3 and would love to find people interested in these things.
Just the 2 of us at home. Sometimes our > 18 yr old children are around too.
There are some of New Zealand's best beaches and best forest hikes (the famous kauri in the Puketi Forest) , all within a 20mins drive.
I can share a lot about organic farming, plants, foraging, herbs and making medicinal balms etc. -
Help
Help required on the land, garden and house. Grubbing weeds, planting, gardening, painting and window cleaning. We have a small old dog, sheep, 2 goats and 2 horses( not ridden). Handy builders, hard workers, epic cleaners and conversationalists always welcome.
