Looking for enthusiastic Spanish speakers to teach 5 days of summer school to 130 children ages 6 to 12.

Summer school is July 29- Aug 2

In a nutshell, the theme is Yo soy Nayarita - it's a wild ride of the history of Nayarit featuring a few of its heroes, also to engage the children as to what makes a hero and what kind of hero are you? The goal is to nurture a love for where one lives and a response that merges with their uniqueness so that they will grow and embrace their home with purpose and pride. Teaching using art in the classroom is the mode, but genuine enthusiasm is the magnet. Videos may be used or made together as a project. School is from 9-12 in the morning, Monday thru Friday with a closing ceremony Friday evening which is a presentation to the families and community of the lessons learned during the week. Drug prevention and yoga is also a part of the curriculum. Bring the gift of yourself to engage the children.

We have lived in Mexico for 15 years raising many varieties of tropical fruits organically. We are active in community service, in particular our local farmer's market and a monthly spay and neuter clinic offering free sterilization services for cats and dogs. Our farm is also a hospice and refuge to animals - currently caring for 16 dogs. We used to be a WWOOF host farm, hosting more than 150 volunteers over 6 years from Japan, Europe, Canada, Australia and the US.
