Mi estancia con Coline, Pablo, Abel, Lynette y Ambar fue muy lindo! El lugar es precioso con un montón de bichos, aves, mariposas y plantas para observar. Y la comida es increíble. Todo muy fresco y ellos saben cocinar super bien. Gracias por toda la chocolate Coline! Se nota mucho que Pablo y Coline quieren que aprendes algo del trabajo. Hay pocas tareas repetitivas y siempre te explican mucho, por qué hay que hacer una cosa. Hay tareas duras y tareas ligeras, pero siempre vas a aprender algo. Si vas a quedarte en esta Finca prepárate que vas a pasar bastante tiempo solo por la tarde, porque todos que viven allá son bastantes ocupados con su vida y por qué es en la selva, no hay mucha gente o muchas cosas que hacer. Eso también es algo que aprendí de disfrutar. Hay que pagar un poquito de dinero para la comida, pero no es mucho. En general, recomiendo mucho quedarse en esta Finca, porque vas a tener mucho tiempo para pensar, disfrutar la naturaleza y vas a aprender mucho!! Muchísimas gracias por esa experiencia.

Mamiyo was a lovely punctual tidy visitor to our home. She did tremendous amounts of weeding and cleaning- thank you, Mamiyo She greatly enjoyed the wildlife.

Hui Ying and Brandon are the very best of Workawayers. They are both adaptable, equable, pleasant, punctual, hard-working, tidy, well-read and informed. They impressed me with their adaptability & acceptance of different ways. Two terrific people.

We stayed with Marquita for one week and it was a fabulous stay. Marquita is a lovely woman, was very welcoming and always cared about our well being. We did some gardening and cleaning jobs and got provided with a nice and clean room and the most delicious dinners. Orewa is a little and pretty town with beautiful beaches and little shops and really good for exploring by foot.

You could not wish for a better Workaway host, or experience. Hugh and Jane are a genuine couple who have dedicated 20 years developing their home and property - and it is stunning. I have the greatest admiration for what they have achieved and the lifestyle they lead. With them, you are not just a 'worker', rather you are invited into this lifestyle, their circle of friends, and their community. I arrived for the olive harvest, but ended up staying 2 months! Apart from a record harvest, I left with experience in bread making, smoking salmon, cheese and quail eggs, curing ham, wine making, tractor work, tree clearance, to making homemade marmalade, chutney, chestnut puree and even tallow.....the list goes on. And these skills are on top of my improved knowledge of, and appreciation for, good wine and olive oil. Hugh and Jane were always happy to pass on their knowledge and experience, which I greatly appreciated. My accommodation was more than comfortable and full of character. I always looked forward to meals (Jane is an excellent cook!) with each evening meal being accompanied with wines from their vineyard.....with port to follow. The work was varied, always interesting, and in some cases a learning experience. The day's work objectives were clearly communicated. We worked as a team, and as they say, 'many hands make light work'. The arrival of two French Workawayers (Hugo and Tanguy) added to my enjoyment (the canasta aside!) and our productivity! The videos the we produced are worthy of an Oscar nomination. Evenings were spent relaxing in front of the fire, sipping port, playing fiercely competitive canasta, or engaging in discussions on an array of topics - with all views welcome. On days off Hugh and Jane took us sightseeing with the stunning Douro Valley being a highlight.  The camaraderie is something I will never forget, but above all, this Workaway experience was fun, educational and rewarding - you can't ask for more than that. I can highly recommend this host.

Volunteering at the hostel for 3 weeks was easily the best part of my trip and an incredible experience I'll cherish forever. It was the first hostel workaway I did and loved every second. The hostel is nestled in the jungle and you see monkeys and parrots just about everyday. I didn't work here because I went during the off season but I used the pool very often. Do not be hesitant to come to Costa Rica during the rainy season! It doesn't rain all day and is very relaxing and chill due to the lack of tourists. My main duties were reception, making breakfast for guests, and laundry. I do not speak fluent Spanish but I was still able to perform all my duties. If you are trying to learn Spanish I highly recommend this place. Some of the staff only speak Spanish so it is the perfect place to learn. My Spanish improved significantly from my time here. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. They were the best part of the experience for me:) The area was so lovely with lots of things to do! It is easy to get around Manuel Antonio because there is a bus that comes every 10 minutes or so. There are several beaches nearby and exciting hikes. Manuel Anontio is pretty touristy but Quepos is more chill and has some good local spots. Everywhere is accessible by bus. The only con I have for this workaway is the lack of food. The other volunteer and I had to remind the manager multiple times to get us more food. We finally got it ourselves but were reimbursed, so everything turned out alright. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need! I really hope you get to experience this place !! I hope to return some day:)

The time we shared with PJ was a beautiful experience. Truly beautiful. Not just something to say for a Workaway review. From the moment we arrived at her home, we were welcomed with so much love. On the first day, we learned how to build a clay oven together with other volunteers who were already there, and thanks to PJ’s energy we quickly created a small community where we cooked together, shared, had fun, and above all learned so much about her culture. She taught us how to build a clay house, how to cook her traditional food, and she generously showed us her city. Her parents also cooked delicious meals for us and treated us with so much love. During the time we spent with PJ, we did everything: we made the bricks for her clay house, cooked a lot, went to visit a waterfall, went to a bar to play pool, danced, and shared mate together. And at the end of the journey, we hugged each other as friends. Now we know that if we ever return to Thailand, we have a friend who will welcome us with an open heart. And PJ knows that if she comes to Patagonia, she has a place where we will welcome her with all our love and joy. Without a doubt, the time we spent in Chom Thong were the best days of our time in Thailand. Thank you forever, PJ 🤍 Santi y Jaime

It was a pleasure to welcome Bérengère and Timothé in our simple home! They are both very polite and easy to connect with. Despite that the children couldn't speak the same language they played very nice with each other. Gideon found a real boys friend in him. Also with Beréngère the children and us felt good, she has a lot of nice art material in her campervan which was a pleasure for Eliana. Sometimes we maybe didnt have a clear task for her to do but nevertheless Beréngère would surprise and support us with the daily tasks and often we have found the space better then we left it. She is also a good and healthy cook and overall a very mindful person which makes it nice to have her around.

Simon fue un voluntario muy implicado en nuestro proyecto y de gran ayuda para el equipo. Nos apoyó en la gestión y colaboró activamente en la escuelita, aportando compromiso y responsabilidad. Agradecemos mucho el tiempo y el apoyo que nos brindó durante su voluntariado Mil gracias !!

I had a great first volunteer experience with Chris and Ana. They are such kind and lovely people. Very welcoming, and Chris was a great teacher. Their home is utterly amazing. At first, I was a bit concerned what the living conditions would be since the images on the site were quite limited. But as soon as I arrived, I knew I would have an excellent and comfortable stay. Very clean home and property. I also appreciate that Chris takes saftey seriously while working. 😊 I mainly pruned lavender bushes, sometimes with Chris and sometimes alone. We also did some "tree surgery" and made fires to burn all the scrap wood. We also trimmed some bushes and worked on some fences. Ana and Chris are extraordinary cooks. They were also kind enough to invite me out to eat, to concerts, and to the beach. The surrounding sights are amazing. I will say though be prepared: the nearby town is expensive and a bit far. Overall had an unforgetable experience here, and I wish Chris and Ana nothing but the best. I only wish I could've accomplished more and helped out more in the little time I was there. I will forever be grateful to them for the amazing experience. P.S. they have the coolest garden I've ever seen. 😍

Audrey und Tee sind ein sehr engagiertes Team. Sie haben mich an ihrem wunderbaren Ort sehr freundlich aufgenommen und mir wann immer Zeit war viele interessante Gespräche und Dinge rund um Kluang gezeigt. Ich kenne nun die Reisfelder westlich von Kluang, eine Töpferei, chinesischen Tempel, malaiische Spezialitäten- Restaurants, in die sie mich eingeladen haben, den Heimatort von Tee. Ich weiß sogar, wo seine Schule war... Ich bekam ein Fahrrad geliehen, mit dem ich allein die Umgebung der Stadt erkundete. Das Hostel ist ein super chilliger Platz und die Gäste, die ich kennenlernen durfte, blieben teilweise länger, als geplant, hier. Ich werde die 3 Wochen mit den 3 süßen Igelchen und meine schönen Erlebnissen in guter Erinnerung behalten.

I stayed at Dave’s farm for two weeks, and from the moment he picked me up at the bus stop, he treated me like a family member. Missing Dave, Nikki and of course Billy and TomTom already. Dave is incredibly warm-hearted, generous, and helpful. He was always happy to share his farming techniques as well as his deep knowledge of local history. Every morning we worked together, and he consistently took on the heaviest tasks himself, leaving me the lighter ones, while patiently teaching me along the way. Beyond the daily farm work, Dave also made my stay truly meaningful by involving me in a wide range of experiences. He took me on a tour of another well-known farm, invited me to attend a lecture on global warming given by a Princeton professor, and even arranged activities like kayaking in the river on his farm. He also showed me around museums, Castle Hill, Sunday Mountain, and brought me along to a church service with the local community. Overall, staying at Dave’s farm was not just a work exchange, but a deeply enriching life experience. Dave is an outstanding host, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Both Rosita- the host and Mariam, her daughter, are wonderful and very welcoming. Mariam is a creative and talented kid and is happy sharing her love for the arts of dance and gymnastics and baking (: The apartment is in perfect location- calm yet still with lovely parks and cafes and one can easily access the metro/ bus and therefore the other areas of Paris. Taking Mariam to school/ picking her up was split fairly and I had plenty of free time . I highly recommend for anyone wanting a cozy experience with a lovely Italian family, the lovely neighbours and also eager to explore the city . Thank you very much !

I made a short overnight stop with Daniela and her family. I received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. I was invited to join them for pancakes for breakfast. I'm looking forward to spending a longer time with Daniela as a workawayer one day. I'm sure it will be fun, easygoing, and full of enriching conversations. Julia

Daniel ha sido el mejor anfitrión del mundo!!! Muy generoso, con una comunicación muy clara y una experiencia única. La jungla de alrededor de la casa es preciosa, y si que hay muchos mosquitos, pero hay cocos y fruta para coger directo del árbol siempre!! Me ayudó muchísimo con mi talla de madera, jugamos al ajedrez todos los días y tuvimos muchas conversaciones muy interesantes sobre la vida y el arte. Super inspirado por su amor por el arte, todo lo que sabe y el proyecto tan bonito y especial que está costruyendo. La comida era básica pero rica, con torta a veces para cenar😋😋 Espero que te vaya genial amigo y que nos veamos otra vez pronto

Lucas and Illy were truly exceptional volunteers, and having them was a gift. They are outstanding yoga teachers — professional, grounded, and deeply connected to their practice. Guests consistently came to me to say how much they loved their classes, how supported they felt, and how meaningful the yoga experience was for them. Beyond yoga, they were incredibly responsible, reliable, and easy to communicate with. Everything they did came from a place of care and presence. They also took wonderful care of Kaya, showing genuine love and attentiveness — something that meant a lot to me personally. Lucas and Illy are not only talented teachers, but also kind, respectful, and beautiful human beings. I feel very lucky to have had them as part of the hotel and to have gotten to know them both. They will be deeply missed, and I would recommend them without hesitation to any place or community. Thank you both for everything — you left a lasting mark here

Veselka has a project with a lot to do to fulfill the Vision. Speaking fluently in English. Accompanied by an intelligent Dog. Supported by a Cat Mafia. Professional and kind. An expert in bread baking. Marvelous cream soup specialist. And so much more. I wish I could have stayed longer and come back again to see how the project goes on.

Melvin was a very hard working, friendly and interesting young man. He helped with a wide range of tasks including heavy gardening work, cleaning and cooking. His cooking was delicious!! He integrated into our house hold very well. He was respectful, polite and appreciative. His English was better than he gave himself credit for, we wish Melvin all the best for his Australian adventure!!

I have to express my deepest thanks and gratitude to you both for making my summer so special. In August I spent two weeks with this amazing little family and it was my first Workaway experience. Clara and Felice were everything you could want in a host. They are kind, respectful, friendly, and responsive to needs. I truly felt like a part of the family while I was there. They have two wonderful kids, a 1 year old and a 3 year old who are very energetic and fun. Felice makes plenty of delicious home cooked meals so don’t worry about food haha. Clara will make sure you are comfortable and will set you up in a private room upstairs with a magical view of Tuscan hills!!! I’d highly recommend these hosts to anyone looking for an authentic Italian family experience and learning some valuable things about homesteading. I learned a little bit about construction, fermentation, wine production, and of course Italian language all in my short 2 week stay. And I can't forget about Tappo, the coolest gatto in Tuscany! He’s a very sweet cat who will be a great companion while you work. On a typical day I pulled weeds around the house for about 2 hours in the morning, spent the afternoon resting, then for a few hours in the late afternoon/evening I helped Felice with building the chicken coup fence. On the weekends there is plenty you can explore and they go to the beach often if you come in the summer! Clara and Felice were very generous with rides too. I’ll never forget this special part of the world and I can’t wait to come back someday!!! Grazie mille per tutti 🙃

Marion es una chica trabajadora y tranquila, hizo todas las tareas y disfrutó del lugar. Es bastante introvertida y no socializó mucho, pero entendemos que no todo el mundo es muy abierto. Además está aprendiendo el idioma y esto puede influir. ¡Le deseamos buen viaje y muchas gracias!
