Hi,
We are Dave & Nikki -
(Uncle Dave" & "Aunty Nikki),
We have a Geraldine Sheep, Beef & Deer Farm, 2 hours South of Christchurch city,
20 minutes from both the sea and the mountains.
On our busy farm we need help with environmental protection work to fencing all our rivers and streams, planting native trees and installing culvets. Tree clearing, firewood cutting and bagging, , weed control, farm fencing repairs and other farm work etc.
Around the house painting, cleaning windows, mowing lawns, washing cars.
But we'd also love to get off the farm enjoy the native bush, rivers lakes and mountains and show you our beautiful country while you are here,
so we find it works best for you if we work a few full days work hard out here, then we take a day or two off to show you around, do some touring, sightseeing,
bush walks, bike ride, mountain treks Or river swimming in Late Dec - Mar.
or skiing (July/Aug)....to have some Fun!
We'll provide all your food, fruit, drinks etc. (free of charge) and promise we will look after you really well.
We can tell you great advice on the best (FREE) things to see and do in New Zealand, perhaps we can plan an adventure trip together.
You are welcome to send us a message now....Who knows....If you are lucky enough, we may just have a place available on our farm for you.

Marina worked hard and diligently getting on with the job at times even unsupervised.
She used inititive, was careful, accurate and very helpful, esp around the house helping with firewood, cooking and dishes.

Marius & Clare were very helpful, always looking for ways to help out.
They helped us clear trees, cut firewood, built a culvet crossing side, cleared a fence line of gorse, mowed lawns and restocked firewood.
They willingly helped in the kitchen, cooked and did dishes etc.
Highly recommend them both for any job you have.

I had a great time both on the Farm and on the Roadtrip.
Whilst I only planned to stay 1 week I extendet my stay to 15 days and truly enjoyed my coversations with both Dave, Nikki and the other workawayers. Thank you for hosting, teaching and showing me so much of New Zealand.

Josh helped us on the farm clearing wind blown trees and bagging tree rings.
He performed well at this.
Probably could have been more helpful around the house, offering to set table, do dishes, bring in firewood etc.
But to his favour, he was always good natured, curtious, respectful and interacted well so probably should be a 3 star plus rating.

I so enjoy staying at Dave and Nikki's place. They helped me to improve my English. Everything was fun ! Even the work was fun, i cut a lot of tree with a chainsaw and ax, do quad and tractor. An adventure is never far! I do kayak, bike, climb, shooting, cycle trip etc..

I stayed at Anne's & Harrie's House for about one week. Dave organised the Stay with the couple and it was a really warm-hearted stay. I got some afternoons off and Dave picked me up for some aktivites with other workawayers. Dave is always in his element and tries to show you as much as he can. You would never meet him unmotivated. Perfect Stay!

Lena is a charming energetic easy going polite gal.
She works hard, willingly on the farm and is very helpful around the house also.
We hope she will come back and stay with her Aunty Nikki and Uncle Dave if ever in NZ again.

Dave and Nikki are welcoming, they live in a beautiful place, and have a huge general knowledge, a lot to learn from them!
