Descripción
Im PJ, the owner of the hostel at Doi Inthanon NP foothill, Chomthong district, 57kms south from center CNX.
I’m looking for one volunteer to help me build an earth house (Mixing butween straw bale, cob, or adobe or earthbag)
I only host one person at a time — someone who can do physical work and is flexible with working hours.
It’s easier for my family to prepare meals, so it’s better if you don’t follow a vegan or vegetarian diet. And non smoking please.
I provide free meals, drinking water, tea, coffee, fruit, and tent (with pillow, blanket and bed sheet)
Work is around 4–5 hours a day, and days off are flexible.
You can also borrow my motorbike sometimes.
You’re welcome to use the kitchen, but not every day, because my sister’s family runs a food business and uses the hostel kitchen.
The work will be at my hostel and my farm.
It will be just you and me working together, as I don’t host multiple volunteers.
If you enjoy simple living, learning about natural building, and spending time in a quiet place, you’ll fit

Because we are a family business, you will learn many unique things about Thai culture and traditions during your stay. And perhaps, you will even have a chance to make and taste some delicious clay oven pizza!

Chomthong has a relaxed atmosphere and it not touristy, and it is a good base by which to explore National Park (which has the highest peak in Thailand). The hostel is about 10 kilometers from the first checkpoint of National Park (and 47 kilometers from the summit). You can take a motorbike or scooter there, or a shared taxi during the winter months (as they run more frequently). We can also arrange to make a trip together, with other guests. There you can find the beautiful stupa monument, waterfalls, camping spots, and hiking is a must! You can enjoy also of the Mae Wang National Park, located few kilometers away. Expect nice markets, lush ricefields, and Buddhist temples around our hostel. There are also many nice coffee shops and a swimming pool nearby, as well the Mae Klang River.
