Jillian and Autumn stayed 3 weeks with us - the 1st half while we were here and the 2nd half house and animal sitting when we were on holidays. These two are very competent, easy going and fun to have around. They both are eager and fast learning, and foremost trustworthy. While we were away, they looked after our two dogs, the two pet lambs, our chickens including an an angry rooster. On our return we found all living creatures in a well looked after, happy state, and the house looked immaculate. We only have praise for Jillian and Autumn and can recommend them to anyone who is looking for reliable workawayers with a positive attitude and very good communication skills. We wish them both well on their travels and would welcome them back any time again.

Andréa was amazing to have around! She spent a month with us painting some beautiful murals that really added a personal touch to the hostel. She’s super creative and made the place feel even more special. Plus, she shared with us some of the stunning photos she took while traveling around Jordan. We loved having her be a part of the team. Andréa was always friendly, helpful, and easy to get along with, and we can’t wait for her to come back someday! Thanks for everything, Andréa! You’re always welcome here!

We are incredibly grateful for the time Gisela Bonavita from Argentina spent with us in Gomba District. Thank you for your extraordinary love and dedication to the less privileged children of Gomba District. Your radiant smiles while teaching, joyful playtime, endless affection, and songs to the children. We really appreciate the brilliant organization of a fundraising campaign aiming at increasing food supply and water availability to the children. This has brought nourishment, hope, and happiness to so many young lives hence increasing the number of children going to school. You are a true blessing to our foundation and community. Please keep shining your beautiful light and smile. May the good Lord reward you abundantly for every child you have fed, embraced, inspired and supported with immense gratitude, we will always remember you in our hearts. Harry and Isi was very helpful as I just started a new project which consists of 10 chalets. This project is walking distance from campsite. They were one of the few new volunteers helping me on this project. As they were active and fit, they were able to help me with many different tasks. I’m fortunate to host them while helping me on daily tasks

If you are lucky enough to be welcomed into Catherine and Martin’s beautiful home and property, don’t take it for granted! From the moment I arrived, I felt like part of the family. Although my stay was short (far too short!), it was an incredibly memorable experience. Catherine is an amazing cook and a very thoughtful host who genuinely cares about her Workawayers. She always made sure I was comfortable and well informed about local activities, sending links and suggestions for nearby towns, hikes, and things to do. While the farm itself is a wonderful place to relax, I really appreciated how much effort she made to ensure I experienced the surrounding area as well. During my stay, I was able to help Catherine with the early stages of calf training, which was fascinating and very rewarding. I learned a lot about the process and felt included and trusted from the start. Martin is an excellent teacher with a great sense of humor. He always took the time to explain and demonstrate each task clearly, making sure I felt confident and safe—whether it was cleaning gutters, working on ladders, or cleaning debris up on the shed roof. Outside of work, Martin also shared some great local experiences with me, including visiting a nearby farmers market, delivering sheep’s wool, and even searching for Lochy the eel in the pond (success!). Both Catherine and Martin consistently showed appreciation for my help and made the work feel meaningful. They also introduced me to new foods (all of them delicious!) and shared stories from their adventurous lives, which made evenings especially enjoyable. And of course, their two lovely dogs, Sky and Lily, were a constant highlight. I would highly recommend this Workaway to anyone looking for a welcoming home, meaningful farm work, great learning opportunities, and a genuinely warm host family. I am extremely grateful for my time there and would happily return in the future. Thank you so much, Catherine and Martin!

Matteo war ein sehr angenehmer Zeitgenosse. Er hat sich gut in unserem Alltag eingefügt, war pünktlich, und respektvoll . Alle Arbeiten wurden sehr gewissenhaft und präzise ausgeführt. Wir wünschen Matteo viele positive Erlebnisse in der nächsten Zeit und bedanken uns nochmals auf diesem Wege für die Zeit mit Ihm.

We stayed with Catherine and Martin for only a little more than a week. That week flew by! We felt so welcome from the start and we were able to be our selves completely. We worked together with Martin and we learned so much stuff. He was a great mentor and even greater company. We especially enjoyed all of the farm work and we really got to experience their awesome lifestyle. Catherine was so sweet to us and was really helpful. She gave lots of very useful tips and we could have great conversations with her. We also enjoyed the company of Bef (her Aunt). Thank you guys for the company and for all of the memories. Also our room was really lovely with a beautiful view. We liked it so much, that we will be going back for Christmas.

Kei, Kurumi, and their two children, Zach and Connie, were an absolute joy to host. Such a genuine and truly grateful family. Thoughtful, kind, hardworking, and proactive, they fitted seamlessly into our home and routine from day one. Both Kei and Kurumi are natural leaders with excellent common sense—Kei is very task-oriented, and Kurumi did a wonderful job organising volunteers in the kitchen and house.they made sure the whole team communicated and worked together . Steven and I were away in New Zealand for eight days and had complete peace of mind knowing my home, cats, and other volunteers were in excellent hands as they kept the team communicating well . Kei also completed a long-awaited garden project, which was fantastic. Zach and Connie are delightful—well-mannered, helpful, and just as thoughtful as their parents. They pitched in happily I’m sure my cats will miss them and they impressed everyone they met. We a So loved sharing our Newcastle home, beaches,lagoon, museums, lighthouse and surrounds with this beautiful family. They filled our home with love and laughter and are very much missed. I highly recommend them to any host—you won’t regret welcoming and making space for them into your heart and home.

Axelle y Glenn se quedaron 2 semanas con nosotros las cuales fueron muy simpáticas. Los dos fueron siempre muy entusiasmados por los trabajos, curiosos y aprendieron muy rápidos. Trabajamos principalmente en la huertas y siempre fueron muy dedicados en la excursión de las tareas. Pasamos lindos momentos compartiendo de nuestras vidas y experiencias. My time at the school was absolutely amazing. The first days were a little overwhelming, only because I have never experienced this much love. All the children seem genuinely happy - they smile, hug, dance and play. We had SO much fun together and I will never forget the feeling of seeing them smile. This place is helping them build confidence and to prepare them for a brighter future. Please visit if you have the chance. Mohit is an amazing host. He is always there for you if you need assistance and makes sure your stay is as safe and comfortable as possible. Also his family is incredible, cooking delicious food on the most relaxing and beautiful rooftop. I miss them! Thank you soooo much!

We had a great time with Gillian, Steve and the two dogs Pippa and Zoe. :) Gillian made very nice food and they were really helpful when we had any questions. Also it was very nice to do the work together with Steve because his explanations were good and helpful. Thanks for the spins you did with us! The bush walk and especially the fishing was a very nice and new experience for us! We can recommend staying with them. :)

Alistair, Karin, and their pup Pico are all wonderful hosts. They are very insightful people and have extensive knowledge about worldly travel and Nelson. The work was straightforward and they were flexible with how you worked through your hours which was awesome. They usually had something bike related or artsy going on, and they let me tag along with them with was incredible. I'd highly recommend staying with them if you want a unique experience and to explore the Nelson area!

Dear John and Judy, We were incredibly lucky to have our first Workaway experience with you. Your home and the surrounding area are beautiful, especially for those who enjoy walking in nature. The room was very comfortable and had its own private bathroom. The work was not difficult and was varied, so we never felt bored. We helped with household maintenance, gardening, and cooking. You also made us feel very welcome by including us in social events with your friends, and we truly enjoyed the many conversations we shared over dinner about our different cultures. We learned lots of new things about Australian culture and lifestyle. We would also like to thank you for your patience with us, as our English was not very good. You were always kind, supportive, and understanding. The food was delicious, and you prepared wonderful dinners for us. Thank you again for your warm hospitality. It was a real pleasure to meet you and spend time with you. We hope to welcome you to Tuscany one day!

My life has become much easier with Fraser. He completed all the necessary tasks in the garden that I had not thought of for the winter. We found my dogs dead. He supported me a lot in my most sad times.For me, the genie in the lamp. The photo design and shooting of the table top garden products in the photos belong to Fraser. The construction of the small chicken coop was completed thanks to Fraser. You are a miracle, Fraser! Practical, tidy, disciplined, clean and pleasant conversation. My son lives abroad. We spent time with Fraser as if we were a family. I thank him very much. I hope he will visit me again.

We loved staying at Marias and Jessies place. The BnB was huge and lovely and we loved every second there. Maria and Jessie were very welcoming and the work in the garden was a lot of fun and not too hard. Besides the garden work we enjoyed the surroundings of being so close to the Great Ocean Road. We totally recommend you staying with them.

Oh my gosh what a privillage to write the very first review for this special profile! No words could describe this family and place. If you have no time to read = this is a unique chance to see real kiwi rural life at its finest. Amazing to see that it IS possible to live with less stress and be more present (of course it costs a Lot of hard work). Every member of the family is such a special person with positive mind, huge heart and big drive to live life to the fullest. It was one of the healthiest week of my life - safe environment, less stress, more connection with nature and the ground, healthies food straight from the property! Jamie’s place looks like a fairytail, the views and night sky are breathtaking. No day was the same. Morning peaceful walk with amazing company of mom, super knowledgeable about everything with a golden heart. Afterwards some gardening (mulching, weeding etc), wood work, paintings etc. Nothing too hard and everything in relaxed pace, no stress or strict schedule. Hiking, biking, walking options for the afternoon. Lovely dinners together in the evenings. Nice chat with the dad, who is also very inspiring. Some lil help for Sam, who is also a sweetheart with a pure soul, best dogs and a little genius gentleman (who has such a bright future ahead of him!). Last but not least Jamie - one of the most free soul I have had a chance to meet. So modest yet such a professional in what he does. You could sell your energy man and world would become a better place. Thanks guys this was really a special week with only positive vibes and great feelings. Hopefully our paths cross soon! 🩵 Thanks for helping me with everything.

Ute was my second workaway and I am beyond grateful for my experience there. There are looots of things to do, you can choose a proyect that you want to invest your time in; maybe building a door, a fence, make a garden, short out the tools… and spend your days making it. Important: Remember that your culture is different from Ute’s. Maybe you think to do something your way, but Ute has her own method, so always asked her before doing random things. Is she gives you green light, you will have an amazing time with your own proyect! You can learn so much about how to take care of a countryside house and about japanese culture thanks to Ute, she always had the best stories to tell. She has a strong personality (which I love) and she’s always willing to help and very appreciative of the work you do. You will feel listened and comfortable right away. Also, this is a place where the workawayers have to work as a team, since you will be the ones noticing what it can be improved. This is an experience based in trust and respect for people that wants to help maintain this piece of history and art in Daigo <3 if you want to know how the countryside feels like, this is the perfect place. It is surrounded by the most astounding views of the mountains and it just gives you this peacefull feeling, I was really lucky to experience the momiji there! Thanks Ute for this wholesome experience, wish we can see eachother again! Highly recommended :D

We spent two wonderful weeks with Pen and Steve, and couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to life in Tasmania. From day one, they made us feel incredibly welcomed and treated us like family. Their hospitality was incredible – Pen and Steve were always generous with their time and stories and they consistently went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and having a great experience. The food was amazing and shared meals quickly became a highlight of our stay! We learnt so much about the Tasmanian lifestyle and farming. The work was always clearly explained, flexible and well within our comfort zones. We genuinely learnt a lot through the tasks we helped with. It never felt rushed or stressful, and there was a great balance between contributing and having time to explore. Thanks to their local knowledge and thoughtful suggestions, we managed to experience many beautiful parts of Tasmania - including two weekends at Cradle Mountain, as well as plenty of ideas and inspiration for future trips! Pen and Steve are kind, thoughtful, and deeply caring hosts who truly want their Workawayers to have a meaningful and memorable experience. We’re incredibly grateful for our time with them and would highly recommend this Workaway to anyone looking for a warm, enriching, and authentic Tasmanian experience!

Katja stayed with us for two weeks and was such a wonderful workaway. She and Jared transformed our garden by trimming, weeding, and doing light landscaping jobs. Katja is super friendly and she helped around the house whenever asked and took pride in the jobs she was doing at our home. I can't thank her enough for changing our garden from a garden of weeds to a beautiful garden we can enjoy over the summer. We also had the chance to share some music and she is a beautiful singer too! Highly recommend her for any future workaways.
