Description
Hi! I discovered travelling in 2025 via Worldpackers and I absolutely loved every second of it. Living with a family is a unique way of immersing oneself in the local culture and it makes travelling so much richer. I'm a very outdoorsy person. I adore hiking and could spend my entire days on mountain trails. In the summer, I like kayaking on lakes. I'm also starting to equip myself for backpack camping (for future adventures). I'm currently in University in something akin to social work. In my free time, I read a lot of fiction (I'm very passionate about my books) and I like everything crafty (decorating, embroidery, sewing, painting) and usually have a few ongoing projects in my mind. I'm a very energetic person who likes to always be doing something. At first, I can be shy, but once I adjust I'm very social and love simply talking to people.

More details about your skills
I'm currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in social work (we call it psychoéducation where I'm from) and starting my Master's degree in fall 2026. I have worked a lot with kids, as I coached gymnastics for a few years and I've worked at a summer camp for 3 summers now. I currently work as a special educator in schools when I don't have class. During my studies, I have had opportunities (kinda of like small internships) to work with babies to adolescents, and I spent a few months with the elders. I have worked in customer service in a grocery store and McDonald's for a few years. I'm very good at cleaning (those were my chores when I stayed with a family in Norway), and I like to keep my things organized and tidy. I have helped my mother on a few outdoor/gardening projects, but I need supervision for those.

What else ...
Although I mentioned quite a bit above, I don't play board games often, but I love them immensely. I'm very competitive, so I like those games the most but I'm not opposed to cooperation games. I'm also quite active physically, as I work out a few times a week and I've gotten back into gymnastics for 2h a week.
For my upcoming Iceland trip, I chose the destination because it has been on my bucket list for a few years, primarily because of the incredible natural landscapes of the country. In recent months, I chose the destination because I would like to learn more about the culture and the way of life, so that I might bring some it back home with me to develop a more nuanced vision on life. -
