Description
Hello! I’m a 28 year old solo traveler who just came to NZ in January. I worked as a trekking guide in remote Australia for the past three years and am looking for new opportunities here in NZ.
I spent this most recent summer in Canada doing odd jobs in a remote area, and have a history of cooking and hospitality while working as a guide in Australia. I really enjoy connecting with locals and doing good work for people, so Workaway seemed like a great way to do both!
I really want to get to know New Zealand outside of the usual bus and hostel backpacker routes. I want to make meaningful connections and really get my hands into the culture here. I studied anthropology in university so seeing other ways of living is a bit of a special interest for me! I also really love nature and having a good sit on a park bench.
A little more about me, I’m very outdoorsy and love multi-day trekking and scuba diving! I started a hiking club with my friends so they could learn how to camp. I also used to be a freelance digital artist. Other hobbies include kickboxing and singing lessons, someday I hope to play the electric guitar.
Hit me up if you want a hard worker with a good attitude! I’m also looking for someone who lives near (enough) to a physiotherapist, I want some good advice before I hit up the Te Aotearoa!!

I generally strive to become like a human swiss army knife, I love building random skills. I have worked in conservation, as a campaign coordinator for student activism, species tracker, gardener, cook, hospitality (cleaning, room service, bed making), tour guide, bus/tour driver, trekking guide, babysitting, daycare counsellor, worked on a dairy farm, and maybe if you’re keen I also have a background in graphic design! I really enjoy making spaces beautiful. I read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up probably five times, on the chance you want help improving feng shui or discarding things!
