I am in Italy looking for a peaceful and fresh place in the mountains of Emilia-Romagna for July, where I can help with gardening, cooking, housekeeping, or whatever is needed.

Hello,

For the past 10 years, I have been volunteering in Europe, India, and Thailand.

I am active, nature-loving, and vegetarian, with many years of yoga practice and a deep interest in meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhism. I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting inspiring people, and connecting with what is essential in life.

I am a 65-year-old French Canadian living in Italy for 30 years, looking to volunteer in Emilia-Romagna in a peaceful, fresh place in contact with nature during July, when it’s too hot for me in Sardinia.

I am ready to help with gardening, housework, and anything practical, and I bring good computer skills and life experience to share. For me, work is a way to be fully present.

I prefer to stay at least two weeks, so I can contribute meaningfully and fully appreciate the environment.

Language practice:
My first language is French since I was born and grew up in Quebec (Canada). After 30 years in Italy, I can speak very good Italian too. I am fluent in English and I know a little bit of Spanish.

Teaching:
I always liked to teach, it’s something that comes natural to me. For 5 years I volunteered in my community in Italy giving computer lessons to elderly. I can also help children with their homework.

Gardening:
Here in Sardinia, we’ve been growing our own organic fruits and vegetables for many years, I practice crop rotation and synergistic garden and I am learning permaculture.

Elderly Companion:
I thing elderly can be a great example of wisdom and awakening. They more than everybody deserve to be loved, respected and listened too. I took care of elderly in the past.

Cooking / shopping:
I can cook delicious nutrient vegetarian and vegan meals I believe that If food is prepared with love and care it’s much more better and nutritious. I helped in the kitchen to cook for 60 persons at my last workaway host in Indian in an alternative forest school .

General Maintenance
My companion is a carpenter and I have been working and helping him for many years with all kind of task; sanding, painting, etc. I am a very good carpenter helper.

I spend 3 weeks at Dina place and I had a good experience. Dina is an artist of many talents, a special and sensitive wise woman.

I was at the school for the month of January 2020. I loved the experience. I was helping in the kitchen cutting vegetable or in the garden.
