Hi, I'm Sean. I'm a 28-year-old man from California. I'm quitting my job at the end of 2025 and am planning on travelling and volunteering for most of 2026. I've spent all of my adult life in and around academia and I'm interested in seeing places outside of where I normally go, doing things I haven't done, and meeting people that come from different environments. I'm interested in learning things outside of my norm and doing some work in farming or construction.

Educational Background: I have a science and engineering background and have some experience managing people. I have extensive computer programming experience and know or can figure out most IT stuff.

Fitness: I am reasonably physically fit (I'm running a half marathon in October).

Cooking: Limited, but I've baked a lot of cookies.

Building things: I'm a capable enough to put Ikea furniture and Legos together, but my skills beyond that are untested.

Farming: I've also managed to take care of most of my roommate's plants for weeks at a time without killing them, so I think that counts for something. I have also had a lot of experience taking care of other people's cats if any of those skills are transferrable.
