Description
Kia Ora! I'm a 27 y/o kiwi girl living out in the country with mum and dad. We live off grid, surrounded by farmland and mountain ranges. Living rurally comes with space, stillness, incredible views and clear night skies. It also comes with effort to look after the land, the animals, the plants and of course, each other.
I am a lover of creativity, music, being outside, walking the dogs and enjoying the simple things. If you like the sound of this, come and get amongst!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Staying would give you a chance to spend time in nature, get your hands dirty, eat well, and learn some amazing gardening tips from mama. Spending time outside on this land will hopefully leave you feeling more grounded than when you arrived.

Help
Gardening, gorse clearing, planting and building are a few of our ongoing tasks. It's not overly strenuous work but a moderate fitness level will help. We like to cruise and take each day as it comes,
The weather plays a big part in daily work, so it can be a little unpredictable and free flowing.

Accommodation
We have 2 spare bedrooms in a 5-bedroom house. The bedrooms are a good size with double beds and draws/wardrobes. There is plenty of space in the house to live communally. We eat food from the garden, freezer and grocery shop about once a week. We eat vegetarian some nights, meat others. We have a spare car that you can use if you are allowed to drive in NZ.

What else ...
There is lots to see and do in the wider Hawkes Bay region - Hikes, beaches, wineries, cafes, camping and heaps more. I enjoy exploring with people who have not been here before, but as mentioned we have a spare car you can use for solo missions!
