Hi there! My name is Najeeb, and I'm an artist living in Vancouver, Canada (India and Saudi Arabia prior to that). I've been working in the animation industry since 2020, focused on paying off student loans. In 2025 I decided to step outside my comfort zone and travel whenever I get a chance.

As of 2026, I have volunteered at couple of farms and a natural building organisation. I lived with people from various backgrounds, enjoyed working in teams, and loved being outside.

I’m often described as chill, stoic. I have a professional background in computer engineering, business and animation, hence have a mix of analytical and creative skill set.

Aside from experiencing new cultures and meeting people, I'm interested in, but not limited to:
- picking up natural building skills
- learn crafts, make murals
- gain hospitality experience
- experience working with animals
- learn about farm life
- experience sustainable living
- assist art schools, creative businesses or professional artists

Having a background in tech, business and art, I’ve accumulated a pretty diverse skill set over the years.

Natural building:
- In mid 2026, I volunteered at WildMag project in South India
- For two months, I helped build mud houses
- Picked up skills in cobbing, framed earth and lime plastering

Management:
- Between 2020-25, I worked as a production coordinator, a project management role in the animation industry. I've managed teams of anywhere between 2-15 people.
- I enjoy working with Excel!

Art & Design:
- I’m experienced in digital art, pencil drawing, illustration and acrylic painting. I'm fairly comfortable with Photoshop and Illustrator
- Would love to add a mural or two to this list!
- As a trained animator, I can also design and create 2D animations.

Tech:
- I have a fair amount of experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from my engineering days. I can help build or improve websites if needed.
- Also comfortable with video and photo editing (will likely carry my laptop around)

What else ...

- I like to watch tv/movies, and I've always read books. I managed to get myself a Masters degree in English Lit.
- I've played sports since I was little. Football (soccer) is my favorite.
- I've also taught myself some decent Indian cooking skills.
- I once worked for an antique collector, so I’ve picked up some knowledge about vintage objects, furniture, and general aesthetics. I also have an appreciation for architectural design.
- I love animals! I've never had an opportunity to keep a pet, but I've fostered a puppy and kitten in the past. And an African Grey parrot was part of our family when I was in my teens.
