Hi, we’re Marco and Luna.
We love discovering new places, sharing stories, and meeting people from different cultures. For us, Workaway is not just a way to travel as tourists, but a meaningful opportunity to connect more deeply with local communities and truly experience the places we visit.

Marco is currently completing his degree in Environmental Engineering and is doing an Erasmus internship on the island of Lesbos, Greece. He is passionate about remote sensing, particularly with a focus on drones. He enjoys cooking, photography, music, and spending time outdoors and he likes mechanic, in fact, during the last months, he restored his Vespa 125 px . Marco has taken part in several travel and volunteering experiences, including working in a charity shop in Ireland, a solo 2500 km Vespa trip through southern Italy, and a recent Workaway experience in Sweden. He also plays various instruments and loves making music.
Luna is completing her Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations. She has a deep passion for horses, yoga, nature, and cultural exploration. She practiced horse riding for many years, developing a strong connection with animals and the outdoors. She also has experience as a dog sitter, which she enjoyed as another way to care for and spend time with animals. Luna enjoys reading about history and philosophy, and is very interested in learning languages. She’s currently working on improving her English and is eager to learn French and more. In 2016, she took part in a study trip to Ireland, and more recently completed an internship at the Mexican Embassy in Rome, where she helped organize cultural events. She is now excited to begin her first volunteering experience.

We both come from Brindisi, a coastal city on the Adriatic Sea in southern Italy. Last year, we did a beautiful tent road trip around Sicily, a slow simple journey in close contact with nature.
We enjoy working as a team: we’re responsible, friendly, and always curious. Whether it’s helping with animals, gardening, cooking, organizing, or learning something new, we’re always ready to give our best.
