Description
Well hello there!
We are Marton and Yannicka – a young, diverse, rather fit, fun and laid-back couple. We both live in Vienna: Marton moved here from Hungary for studies and decided to stay for work (yay for us as a couple) and Yannicka was born and raised in Vienna – with some international pitstops.
We are both currently working within the corporate world (Data Analyst with a finance background and HR Generalist with a tourism & hospitality background) and have both decided that we are ready for a career change at the end of 2026.
Marton has already done a few Workaways in the previous years (Sailing teacher in a kids camp in Spain, repairing a wooden ship in Portugal, stable hand in a horse farm in France, kitchen duties in a mountain cabin in Poland).
For Yannicka it would be the first Workaway experience, she is no stranger though to quickly adapting to new working environments (e.g. moving to London for a semester of hosting and managing events).
We are ready and excited to lend a helping hand wherever you might need it or see fit: gardening, farming, hospitality, childcare, animal care, basic construction/painting/maintenance, language exchange.
Yannicka is into creative DIY Projects (painting, pottery, embroidery, bookbinding, basic jewellery design etc.), baking, sports (Pilates, HIIT, Hiking, stretching (yes, the back problems have already started 😉). Marton is fascinated by sports (tennis, hiking, swimming, snooker, biking, actually everything), the outdoors and simple DIY home projects, cooking or reading a good book with a good coffee 😊.
We want to start by travelling through Chile and plan to continue to the Caribbean (Aruba). We would like to experience a Workaway together and offer a helping hand while getting to know your culture, mentality and way of life. We are both very much interested in learning new skills but also enhancing our current ones.
Feel free to get in touch! We can’t wait to hear back from you and start this new adventure! -
