  • Description

Hello! My name is Maeve :) I'm a PhD candidate in History at NYU and an active member of my community garden at home here in NYC – both of which are driven by a deep love of learning and sharing experiences with others. Enter Workaway!

I'm an experienced solo traveler on my own – the only continent I have yet to set foot on is Antarctica – and equally love traveling purely for adventure or to scratch various research itches. I love that Workaway levels that playing field even further and offers a wealth of opportunities and adventures I would have never otherwise thought to pursue on my own!

I love experiencing other parts of the world in their purest forms, away from touristy hotspots and popular attractions. The depth of understanding of a place and relationships that come out of these settings I've found to be the most invaluable – my fondest memories of past adventures have been as simple as cooking a meal with locals or joining in on a traditional music session at a pub!

I'm a strong collaborator also work well independently, so am open to taking on all sorts of projects. More on this below!
