Hi everyone! I'm Maddalena, I'm 28 years old and I love nature very much. I am interested in a simple life experience, helping on farms and feeding animals. I also really love pottery! :)

Hi everyone,
my name is Maddalena, I'm a slightly "wild" 28 year old Italian girl.

After graduating with honors in herbalist and after having done several jobs, in October 2023 I decided to listen to myself, quit my job, sell almost all my things and take a backpacking trip alone in India (one of the best experiences in my life).

Living for two months in India I understood even more that I love a simple life, in contact with nature and animals, working with my hands and creating artistic things.

Now I really want to find my way, meet people like me, help them, have new experiences, see realities different from mine. I want to really live, to be myself and to feel free.

I am a dreamer, I am very curious and I love everything related to art, nature and new adventures. I love working with clay, taking long walks on the woods, dancing under the stars and enjoying the wild nature. I love reading, walking barefoot and dressing in long, colorful skirts!! :)
I like cooking but even more I love food in all its forms (Indian food is my favorite, but I'm curious to try any dish).

People who really know me describe me as a very sensitive girl, sweet and kind to others, but at the same time I'm not afraid to work hard.
When necessary I can be very wild and not fussy (maybe I have a bit of a masculine soul, and I like that).

I can't wait to leave, to live life fully in the here and now, to experience, help and intertwine my life with the lives of other souls.

Unfortunately my studies have always been scientific (I say unfortunately because I only realized that it wasn't my path at 24, but better "late" than never).
In recent years I have done many jobs, all very different from each other, which made me understand that my path was totally different: now I know that I am a very creative person and that I want to make ceramics my full-time job.

I have a strong spirit of adaptation, I'm really very curious and I'm not afraid of working hard.

I can help maintain the house, cut the grass in the garden, take care of the vegetable garden, make pottery, feed the animals. During my volunteering in India I also helped to paint the house, grow seed and fruit plants and cook.

Lately I also like to use the sewing machine and I have some knowledge in digital marketing.

Maddalena came to the farm during the rainy season. She dint wait for us to pick her at the bus stop, when she called she was already at the gate. She landed with her cutest smile and got our attention with her backpack that was bigger than her.
Maddy spent two weeks at the farm, but
we grew a good bond with her. She was a sincere worker, always… read more waiting for the instructions and eager about knowing about the upcoming projects. She would never say no to any kind of chores, she would be standing in the field the next moment.
Although we couldn't have flowing water all the time, Maddy would be waiting, checking for the water, and doing dish washing before we could ask her. The vessels were shining!
We got impressed looking at her strength and endurance when she broke open more than 10 coconuts in a row for the oil making, when she carried the wood for the fire, when she would sweep the huge goat shed. She would work in silence, and the final result was always impeccable.
She made coconut chutney, guava jam, peanut butter, virgin coconut oil.. And she made paper with banana stem fibre! Never wasted a minute.
Because of the rain, we had the dogs and few chickens sleeping inside the house.. but Maddy never had any complaint, she was so kind hearted. She never missed feeding all of animals, and she even let a young chick visit her at bed every night.
Despite all the tiring work during the day, the evenings were dedicated to the kids. They would just kidnap her, torture her with cuddling, jumping on her shoulders and shouting in her ears. They were calling her Spiderman, so she had to perform few stunts hanging upside down. The rope broke and Maddy fell on her back (got hurt on her elbows and hip) but they were all bursting out laughing about it.
I have to mention the partying late nights, watching random movies on tv, laughing about the day, playing guitar and singing. And especially the barbecue nights chilling around the fire. All the unlimited cookies we had! Memorable moments!
We asked her to plaster a wall outdoor, she did a wonderful job decorating it with flowers and painted them.
In conclusion, we miss Maddalena, she was so gracious and charming like a humming bird blending with nature. We hope to meet her someday, in her own farm as she promised.

PS: We harvested her radishes and still have some veggies coming, feels like you are still here Maddy!

I felt at home, everyone was very kind and helpful with me. Foods that Aneesh's wife prepared were all delicious.
