Hii!
My name is Katy and this year i want to embark on a journey (like frodo and the ring but less scary). After years at university, i realised life happens in the world and not solely in libraries, so i want to collect as many precious connections, memories and skills as possible.
I first did workaway after highschool in 2015 whilst travelling around the UK and i really enjoyed immersing myself in so many different experiences. Be it dog sitting in london, house renovations in nottingham or helping out in a hostel in edinburgh.
I am a lover of the arts, literature, a good coffee and the sea. Yoga and other "witchy" practices are very dear to me (yet i am not a scary spiritual person, i just like philosophy and archeology which i also have a uni degree in). I am often writing, sculpting or painting.
I hope to broaden my horizon, to meet lovely humans and maybe learn a skill or two.

More details about my language interests
I would love to deepen my knowledge of italian and french. I learned both languages for 2 years at university, sadly the french is slowly fading. To me it is simply important to be surrounded by the language i am learning and being forced to speak it (even if i make silly mistakes). I am also more than happy to share my knowledge in german and english (:

During my first workaway experience i was able to dip my toes into different skills like dog sitting, helping out in a b&b, renovating and working in a hostel.
I have been working i hospitality and different sales jobs since i was a teenager and i am pretty good at getting along with all kinds of people. My strongest skill is probably my creativity and my openness. I love painting and sculpting as much as meeting others and learning from them and hearing their stories. Its all about connection for me and i hope my second round on workaway will grant me more memories and kind friendships.
