Hi! I’m Koki from Tokyo, Japan.

I work as a software engineer, mainly developing web-based entertainment services. Web development is my main skill, and I also have experience with AI and digital tools.

I first joined Workaway in 2019 in Canada and France, and it became one of the best experiences of my life. I really enjoyed meeting local people, sharing daily life, and having experiences that you can’t get as a normal tourist, so I decided to start Workaway again.

I’m outgoing, open-minded, and enjoy talking with people from different backgrounds. I’m happy to help with any kind of work and learn new things. If you need help with websites, technology, or AI, I’d also be happy to share my skills.

I’m looking forward to unique Workaway experiences, meeting new people, and making great memories together.

J’ai passé un bon moment avec Valérie et Jean-Paul pendent deux semaines. Ils sont très agréable, gentils et amusants. Ce que j’ai aidé étais c’est que la peindre, l’arrosage, couper du bamboo, sécher la vaisselle humide, etc. Ces travaux ne sont pas dur, je les ai toujours fait avec joie.

Staying for a month at the Matt Family recycling farm has been a great experience in my life. The Matt family is busy and their two kids are pretty.
The main job was to stack furniture, cans, plastic bottles, rubbish, etc. while taking a truck around the city with mats and other friends, work to pull down, snow shoveling, physical fitness work. … read more While traveling on the track, Matt taught me English idiom and vocabulary.
Working hours are managed on a timetable, so if you work too much, you can take a break on your favorite day. On vacation days or spare hours, I go to downtown with other friends, go to the local museum, go to the bar in the evening with a drink at the bar, play billiards, play games, go out cycling one day, etc. The day was a campfire at night, and on Easter Day we painted eggs to enjoy the Canadian events and the experience of this month was an unforgettable memory.
A few days ago, the ILK Nature Park is a great place for cycling and you can see the rich natural and wild bison. The style of Bison I saw for the first time was impressive (because there is no habit, the sense of distance is very close and powerful).
Because the distance from the farm to the downtown is too much to go without a car, basically Matt brings everyone down to the downtown area and picks up in the evening.
Food at the farm is gorgeous and healthy every day. Breakfast is topped with coconut, raisin and maple syrup with oatmeal. Because the amount was made a lot, I ate about three bowls for bowl every morning. Lunch is mainly leftover after dinner, dinner is soup with plenty of vegetables and beans, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, rice, bread, fresh vegetables and dip etc. The food made by other friends and Matt's wife Teresa was delicious every day, and it was a healing moment after work. After dinner, I have dessert and tea every day and I can talk about the culture and language of each country while eating ice cream, fruit and biscuits, and sometimes it's also political.
On the last day, I was given a home near downtown to the early morning flight. It was saved because it was very far from the farm.

The first day with my first experience at workaway was uneasy, but everyone was so friendly that I could quickly merge.

I recommend this place.

マットファミリーのリサイクルファームでの一ヶ月間滞在は自分の人生で大きな経験になりました。マットファミリーは賑やかで、彼らの二人のキッズは可愛らしいです。
主なした仕事はマットや他の仲間と市内をトラックで回りながら、家具、缶、ペットボトル、ごみ等の積み上げ、下ろし作業、雪かき、体力仕事。トラックでの移動中はマットが英語のイディオムやボキャブラリーを教えてくれました。
労働時間はタイムテーブルで管理されているので、働きすぎた場合、その分自分の好きな日に休みが取れます。休みの日や空いた時間には他の仲間とダウンタウンに出かけて、現地の博物館に行ったり、夜はバーで酒を飲みながらビリヤードやゲームして楽しだり、ある日はサイクリングに出かけたり、ある日は夜にキャンプファイヤーをしたり、イースターデーには卵をペイントしてカナダでの行事を楽しんだり、この一か月での経験は忘れられない思い出になりました。
数日前に行ったILK自然公園はサイクリングにはとても適した場所で、豊かな自然と野生のバイソンが見れます。初めて見たバイソンの風格は印象的でした（檻はないので、距離感が凄く近く感じて迫力的）。
ファームからダウンタウンまでは距離があり車なしでは行けないため、基本的にマットが皆をダウンタウンに連れていき、降ろし、夕方になったら拾いに来てくれます。
ファームでの食事は毎日豪華でヘルシー。朝食はオートミールでココナッツやレーズン、メープルシロップをトッピング。量は多めに作ってあるので毎朝ボウル三杯分くらい食べてました。昼食は主に夜食の残り、夕食は野菜や豆を沢山使ったスープやマッシュポテト、スパゲッティ、米、パン、生野菜とディップ等々。他の仲間やマットの妻テレサが作った料理は毎日おいしく、仕事終わりの癒しのひとときでした。夕食の後は毎日デザートとお茶があり、アイスクリーム、フルーツ、ビスケット等を食べながら、それぞれの国の文化や言語について話したり、たまに政治的なことも。
最終日には早朝のフライトに合わせて、ダウンタウン近くの家を貸してもらえました。ファームからはとても遠かったので助かりました。

初めてのworkawayでの経験で初日は不安でしたが、皆とてもフレンドリーだったので、すぐ溶け込めました。
