Hey there! We're Rob and Kitt.
We love traveling rough around the world, exploring its many corners in as granular a way as possible. We value the spiritual aspect of traveling and volunteering most of all; we'd rather sleep in a dingy old house with great people, than in a mansion with a grouch.
We are ready to give a lot!! but it has to go both ways. For lovely, friendly, welcoming people, we work all day long and happily :) But when someone looks at us in terms of dollars or hours, we feel lousy fast. We're traveling because we love to help, to learn, and to make friends for life.

We've both worked as English teachers, and are comfortable teaching and helping English in day-to-day life. Robert is learning Russian (he speaks well, but not yet fluently) and Karina is learning Italian (she speaks very well). We're happy to communicate in any of these three languages.

We have worked as English teachers, Chefs (we cook like the gods), Painters, Deckhands (across the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal), Goatherds (in Italy and Russia), Surf Instructor-Assistants (in Panama), and Farmers. Kitt does work also as a photographer/videographer, and I've done some artistic paint work as well, and a great deal of writing (poetry and prose).
We've also dabbled in every kind of manual labor; PVC plumbing, welding, transplanting coconut trees, catching and relocating tree-frogs, gardening, digging variously sized holes for various needs... in short, we are intellectually and physically curious about all modes of work and existence :)

Robert is a devoted writer, and a passionate reader of classic literature. He runs a start-up literary publication out of Detroit, called Detroit Lit Mag.
Kitt is a photographer and ravenous learner of languages (English, Italian, French). She has a knack for visual aesthetics. She is a skilled surfer and hiker.
More than anything else, we like to have close observatory experiences with Nature.
