  Please read the below section for timing and details on each of the positions for which we are seeking help. Please note that we expect a commitment of at least A MONTH for all positions. Ideally, we will give higher preference to the profiles who can volunteer for 6 months or 3 months utmost.
  
  We are a Luxury Eco Retreat in Nubra Valley - a boutique resort in the center of stunning mountain views and stark Ladakhi landscapes. Our property, a lush 20 acres of beautiful trees and greenery with 17 cottages, incorporates elements of traditional Ladakhi culture with a commitment to sustainability eco-friendly tourism. For example, our property is almost entirely run on solar power and offers filtered glacial snowmelt for drinking to reduce our reliance on single use plastics. We also source much of our produce from our own organic garden and from nearby villages.
  
  Integral to our concept is guest experience - in addition to comfortable cottages for guests, we offer a host of complimentary activities including daily yoga classes, a nightly bonfire, stargazing with our telescope from our roof (we see the milky way on clear nights), and guided walks through our garden and the small village nearby. Volunteers are expected to help run these activities as well as improve our offerings, keeping in mind the upscale nature of our property.
  
  The region of Ladakh is very unique compared to the rest of India, we have our own language, cuisine, music, architecture and social habits. Come and discover the ancient secrets of the people of the Himalayas!

  This work exchange will give you a lot of freedom to be creative and develop your own style, while also exposing you to the inner workings of a luxury eco resort. Since we are situated in one of the most authentic villages of Ladakh (not on the busy tourist side of Hunder, but on the other side of Nubra Valley), you will learn a lot about the local culture. The job also requires you to learn about our valley, so we will make sure that you build a solid understanding of local culture and customs. We are a creative, collaborative team that wants to build a positive experience not only for guests, but also for our staff and volunteers.

  We look for volunteers who are responsible, creative, and friendly. As we are an upscale property, we expect professional presentation from all of our volunteers as well. Ideally, workawayers can both adopt and improve an established system, as well as launch projects from concept to implementation. For example, one of our star volunteers imagined an Alice in Wonderland- themed tea station and built it on our property using materials from the local village. There is a lot of room for creativity, collaboration, and fun here, and we also expect hard work from all of our team.
  
  We may be seeking individuals for these roles on different timelines. Please note that we expect a one month minimum commitment from our volunteers. Please review the details for each role below, as well as the expectations in addition to primary role.   📸Photographer/Videographer for Social Media/Website📸 - We require someone who can shoot amazing quality pictures and videos for our social media and website. Ideally, the person should have a professional camera & necessary gadgets to prepare high quality content for our resort. For eg- Shooting our resort’s architecture, local culture, Signature Experiences, Culinary etc
  
  ❄️❄️Shoot the Mystical Winterscape of Ladakh - its wildlife, culture & our snow covered resort❄️❄️

  🧘🏻‍♀️YOGA🧘🏻‍♀️- We are looking for a YOGA TEACHER. We require a yoga practitioner who will be conducting morning classes at resort daily and facilitate Signature Wellness Experiences upon request. ( For Eg- Yoga at Holy Lake, Meditation with Monks etc ) Ideally, we’d give special preference to a yoga teacher who is also a photographer/videographer & can shoot content + manage our social media. ( POSITION TO BE OPENED FROM MAY 2025 onwards )
  
  🌿Landscape Architect 🌿 - Our property is spread across over 24 acres. We are looking for a landscape architect who can be with us for 6 months at the property and help us with the landscaping of our Himalayan resort.
  
  🏔️INTERIOR ARCHITECT🏔️ - Our resort is made in local architectural style with stone, mud & wood. Standing on ground of sustainable construction, we continue to extend our restaurant, spa, souvenir shop & private luxury suites. For the same, we are looking for an interior architect who can help us design its interiors. The themes we like are: WABI SABI, Minimalist & Earthy. We appreciate some experience in the background and would request you to share your portfolio with us.
  
  🎥GRAPHIC DESIGNER🎥 - We want someone who can create interesting artwork for our menu cards, gift cards, souvenir shops etc. The volunteer is required to stay for max 1 month for this position.
  
  Expectations in Addition to Primary Role:
  Please note that in addition to these primary responsibilities, we ask all of our volunteers to help with guest experience and creative projects around the property. Some of the guest experiences include guided village walks, garden tours, management of our fireside bar and entertainment at our nightly bonfire (musical talent is a plus, and we have a guitar onsite). All positions are asked to be flexible and sometimes do some all-round help. (NOT cleaning or housekeeping or doing the dishes, more in the spirit of: creating flower arrangements when needed, or writing activity boards, organizing a picnic spot for our guests etc). Our retreat offers a vast amount of activities and we are always looking for a pair of extra hands wherever needed. We can assure you that all interaction with the local community will be fulfilling and all work done in the footsteps of the great mountains of the Himalayan Range will be captivating.

  Nubra Valley is situated around 3 hours drive from the nearest town Leh. There are lot of local sights to visit which includes some of the oldest monasteries, sand dunes, hot springs, forts, lakes, villages etc!
