Description
My friend and I are joining workaway to see the world and experience new things. We've been doing seasonal work in the United States for the past few years, and are really excited to expand our horizons.

We both have several years experience working with kids, as summer camp counselors and within our families. As part of that we both have experience teaching, leading outdoor adventures (rock climbing, paddle boarding, ect.), and supervising other staff.
We have both done a lot of physical labor including trailwork, rockwork, fencing, trees thinning, tree thinning, and pulling invasive plants. We know how to use a wide variety of hand tools and power tools (including chainsaws and brush cutters), and are accustomed to 10 hour days in a desert or high desert environment.
We are both certified Wilderness First Responders (through NOLS), and I'm a lifeguard (Red Cross).
Allyson is a great cook (with experience in vegan cooking and baking) and experienced gardener.
I have a lot of experience with animals, both wild and domestic. I worked triage in a wildlife rehab facility for three years, volunteered at animal shelters since I was a child, and worked as a veterinary assistant for a few months. I'm rabies vaccinated.
We both have some experience with carpentry/woodworking and DIY. Allyson has built a whole room and I've made shelves and a wall desk

What else ...
We've been really into climbing and snowboarding, but while we're travelling want to go SCUBA diving and surfing. I've done both and Allyson wants to learn.
We love board games and card games (currently Catan, Hero Realms, and Chess are the big ones, but that changes)
It's hard to think of interests and things to say while staring at the computer, but we'd be down to try most things, this is about new experiences and we're so excited
