Description
Hello! My name is Keiji, I’m from Japan 🌸
I grew up surrounded by mountains and forests, as my father runs a small forestry company. Since I was a child, I have helped him with various forest and mountain tasks — cutting, planting, and learning to respect nature. These early experiences made me love working outdoors and appreciate the connection between people and the environment.
I studied Forest Science at university and later worked as a forest consultant in Japan. Through this, I learned how important it is to combine technical knowledge with care for nature and community. I’ve also had the chance to study and volunteer abroad — in Germany, Canada, Malaysia, Thailand, and the USA — which gave me an international mindset and a love for cultural exchange.
In Japanese culture, working seriously, being respectful, and keeping promises are very important values — and I always try to bring this spirit into everything I do.
I truly love animals and enjoy taking care of them. I’m also open to trying all kinds of food — there’s nothing I dislike! 🍲
I’m an easygoing, positive, and reliable person who enjoys teamwork and helping others. I would be happy to help with gardening, animal care, outdoor projects, or cultural exchange.
Thank you for reading my profile. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, and sharing smiles around the world! 🌿

I’m always interested in learning the local language of the country I stay in. I would love to learn at least the basics — greetings, expressions of gratitude, and simple daily communication. I believe language is not only a tool for communication, but also a way to understand people’s hearts and values. It would make me very happy if I could learn more about the local language, culture, and lifestyle while staying with my hosts. I’m also glad to share my own language and culture from Japan in return.

I was in a difficult situation because my original Workaway host stopped replying, but Stefan responded very quickly and kindly offered to host me, even though it was only for a short week.
