I love to really experience new places, the regular tourist traps do not appeal. I'm quite active, bike riding, walking and swimming. I'm multiskilled having worked as a boatbuilder (15 yrs) , in restaurants, (about the same) renovated 2 homes, scuba diving instructor, qualified accountant, degree in nutrition, and currently working with aged to support at home care. You can probably tell that I like to be busy! I speak some French but understand a little more, especially if it's written. I'm a dedicated lover of good food so wherever I am I try to find the specialities :)
My partner Todd took early retirement from the police band after 36 years and is now working as a teacher with special needs children plus landscaping. He's definitely passionate about travel having been all over the world playing in the band, including the Edinburgh and Basel Tatoos. obviously he also enjoys gardening and the satisfaction of a job well done!! Todd walked the French Camino last year so this year I'm joining in for the shorter Portugese Way :)

Hi, I have many years experience working in restaurants and bars and currently work to support aged stay at home, so some cleaning/laundry/bed making involved. I've renovated a couple of houses involving painting, solid plastering, wiring, painting, paint stripping. As mentioned prior I'm also a (fibreglass) boatbuilder so experienced in that field and comfortable using most air and power tools. I've also fairly good lead light skills.
Outside, I don't mind working in the garden, I can use a lawnmower, whipper snippet, and chainsaw. I could keep going but that is a brief overview :)

What else ...

I've discovered audiobooks, they allow me to multitask :) I've just started sewing clothing again, and I'm trying to use secondhand clothing only. Lastly, I recently discovered how satisfying clay and pot throwing on the wheel is.. I love it! I also love animals although have none since losing my family of 2cats and 2 dogs to very old age
