Hi, I’m an 18-year-old British guy currently travelling in Italy, looking to exchange honest work for the opportunity to explore the country more deeply — preferably without just following the standard tourist trail of gelato and selfies.
Having studied catering, I’m competent in the kitchen and practical with my hands. I’m reliable with gardening, cooking, construction tasks, and outdoor painting (where I can pretend I’m an artist while actually being useful). I’m a warm-hearted, hardworking, friendly, curious, calm, adventurous and practical person who enjoys getting stuck into projects and contributing effectively.
I’ve always wanted to travel properly around Italy and experience authentic culture and family life. Workaway seems like the most genuine way to do this, and I’m hoping it leads to some properly memorable experiences — the kind you can’t get from a guidebook. Through it, I’d like to immerse myself in daily Italian life, meet new people, try local foods, go hiking in nature, and connect with like-minded people around my age who share a similar open-minded and practical outlook.
I’m easy-going, adaptable, and fully committed to being a helpful and positive addition to any host family or project.
