Description

My name is Jack, and I’m from London. I am currently on a six-month career break before returning to the UK to train as a maths teacher. I’m passionate about exploring new places and learning about cultures different from my own, which is why I’m taking this time to travel before beginning a new chapter in education. I’m hoping to spend time in Africa and Asia, and later live in France to improve my French.

I really enjoy working with children and would love to gain more experience before my teacher training begins. I’m enthusiastic about all forms of education—whether it’s maths, literature, or sport—and I enjoy sharing what I know while also learning from others. I’m reliable, open-minded, and happy to help wherever I can.

I’m a fluent English speaker and hold a TEFL qualification, so I’m confident teaching English to learners of all ages. I also speak basic French and am keen to keep improving. Academically, I can teach maths as well as support with general schoolwork or tutoring.

I love cooking and baking, and I’m always happy to help in the kitchen or prepare meals for groups. I’ve also played a wide range of sports throughout my life—including rugby, cricket, cycling, tennis, and football—so I enjoy coaching, joining activities with children, or helping with any sport-related tasks.

I’m practical, hands-on, and quick to learn. I enjoy making, fixing, and building things, whether it’s simple repairs, DIY tasks, or general maintenance. I’m enthusiastic, adaptable, and happy to turn my hand to whatever needs doing.

In my free time I love staying active—whether that’s going for a run, cycling, or picking up any sport that’s going. I enjoy reading (everything from novels to popular science), listening to podcasts, and learning about history and different cultures as I travel. I also like spending time outdoors, hiking, and exploring new places on foot.

I’m always excited to try new skills, learn from the people I meet, and get involved in local life wherever I stay. I enjoy good conversation, shared meals, and connecting with people from all backgrounds.
