Description
Hello! My name is Isobel and I am 18 years old. Having just finished further education in the UK (Biology, English and Art A levels) I am super excited to begin my travelling journey. I have decided to take a gap year in search of new cultures and lifestyles to broaden my perspective, before continuing my education through an apprenticeship in nursing. I am friendly, kind and hard working and I am eager to gain new experiences with a variety of hosts. I love meeting new people, sharing stories and having good conversations, as well as hiking, swimming, exploring, journaling, reading and being creative.

I am an organised, tidy and reliable person. My family are very outdoorsy and we have often been hiking and camping, and have also been on river boat holidays which involved working the locks. When I was younger I used to ride horses with friends and I enjoy gardening, upcycling, sewing and mending, and cooking simple meals. I have experience in catering, childcare and pet sitting (I am a pet loving person with a family dog at home), and have previously volunteered in my primary school assisting with classroom duties and encouraging children's learning. I have also volunteered abroad with Challenges Abroad and Future Sense Foundation teaching English with a group of fellow students in Tanzania, where I made strong friendships with my peers while developing my confidence and leadership skills. For almost 2 years I have worked as a Customer Assistant within two separate roles at Hilliers Garden Centre. This role has developed my customer service skills and I have become more charismatic and outgoing towards people as a result of this.
