    Description

We are looking for a lovely helper or 2 to help with cleaning, tidying, decluttering and generally making the house function, after a very busy time where everything has got completely out of hand.
Help with cooking meals also appreciated.
    __________________________
We are a fun relaxed, liberal, alternative family of 7. We are scruffy and untidy and chaotic and noisy.
Helpers who have stayed with us have always seemed to have a good time and we really enjoy having them.

If you like things to be peaceful and organised we are not the family for you!

    We are:
    - (Me) - Lenka/Mum. I am 43. I work full time as psychotherapist and am studying. I can talk about psychological processes forever and ever. I love roller skating and swimming and my kids. I am bubbly and friendly and social and warm. I'm good at my job and good at being a fun friend and a loving mum, but I'm VERY disorganised and VERY bad at house work and keeping the house tidy. I'm pretty much a disaster in fact.

    - Stephen/Dad is 45. He's a builder. He's a quiet, gentle, friendly guy. He's been away for work for a couple of weeks and will be away for a few more so you might not get to meet him
. He's also not very organised or good at keeping things tidy.

    - Coe is 18. He's just finished high school. He's very busy socialising, and his lovely friends are often here. He's a musician and a surfer and a skater. He's friendly and social and if you are interested he'll take you on adventures. He makes a mess and doesn't clean up after himself and I yell at him.

    - Isla is 14. She's the most mature person in the house by far and often the only person who knows whats going on. She hangs out with her gorgeous friends a lot and is into being cool and fashionable, in a fun ironic way. She always tidies up after herself and often after everyone else too. I never yell at her.

-Cass is 12. He is a dreamy quirky guy. He has a pony who takes up a lot of his time. He also likes to bike around the neighbourhood with his friends. He never remembers where he puts anything.

-Bina is 9 and uses they/them pronouns. They are a sweet cheerful happy bundle of sunshine. They love to have friendly people to chat to and to dance to Taylor Swift. They have lots of sweet 9 year old friends who they want to play with all the time.

There are also 2 friendly gentle dogs and a cat, all black, all girls, all would love your attention, all add to the chaos.
Oh. and a pony! if you would like to ride on the beach, this can probably be arranged.

With that many people and all their people its pretty much a party/zoo at all times!! lots of fun and lots of noise and lots of chaos.
Its been a crazy few months with far too much going on and Stephen away a lot. The kids are not well trained at helping around the house and Lenka has been trying to do it all while working full time. Everything is a BIG mess and its a bit out of hand! I would love to get on top of it all and make things a bit more functional, but just making dinner every night and staying on top of the laundry is a challenge, while working and being a taxi driver for kids. I'm almost never home.

I just need another set of hands. It would be amazing if you were inspired and motivated to help me with a big declutter.... but that might be a bit ambitious. Just to help me keep the house a bit tidier and have dinner the table before 8pm every night would be a miracle.

We will laugh and play music and drink wine in the process.

There will be time to do your own exploring of the area and have down time and I will do my best to help facilitate you getting what you want out of your time with us and having good experiences.

We do not live in a big stylish beautiful house. If you are wanting luxury accomodation we are not the hosts for you!

Our home is simple but functional and a bit of a builders work in progress. Our furniture is broken. Everything is scruffy and slapdash and makeshift. Nothing is stylishly decorated. But the kitchen is big and sunny and good to cook in (if it's cleaned) and the sofa is comfortable. There is only one bathroom for ALLL those people. But the shower is good and hot (if you can find a window to use it and someone hasnt used all the water).
    The garden is overgrown.

There is a big sunny deck with a BBQ for summer. We have WiFi and netflix.

Helper accomodation is pretty much a shed at the bottom of the overgrown garden, but its private and away from the noise and has a comfortable bed.

Raumati south is a cool little town 50 mins train ride to wellington city. its walking distance to the beach and to beautiful queen Elizabeth park. There are some beautiful hikes you can do. We have a cool cafe that plays live music regularly.

We will of course give you use of the house, food, shower, wi fi, washing machine etc like a member of the family.

We live in Raumati south, which is a cool little town 50 mins train ride to wellington city. its walking distance to the beach and to beautiful queen Elizabeth park and some wonderful hikes. we have a cool cafe that plays live music regularly.
There are buses and trains nearby but we would also always endeavour to give you a ride places or let you use a car if that was needed.

We are happy for helpers to have visitors and generally use the home as if it was their own.

We are part of a lively busy community and have many wonderful friends. We have shared dinners with friends usually at least twice a week. Helpers who have stayed with us have often made friends with our friends, or met other helpers who were staying with our friends. There is plenty of opportunity to meet people if that is something you are looking for. If you are close in age to the teenage boys there will be plenty of opportunity for you to join in their antics and socialise. Coe is outgoing and very friendly and will be thrilled to invite you along.
