Description
Hi there!
I’m Hanna, 26 years old, from Germany but living in the Netherlands since 2019. I'm very creative and open-minded, and always curious about nature, people, animals, and different kinds of living. I have a MSc in Cognitive Sciences and will start my PhD this summer.
I love hiking, mountains, crocheting and other crafty activities, going to concerts with friends, analogue photography, reading books, doing yoga and going to dance lessons.
I’m a calm, responsible, and observant person who enjoys both working independently and being part of a shared rhythm. I like tasks where I can be active and useful, whether that’s helping with animals, gardening, outdoor work, or supporting day-to-day life around a home or project. I got a lot of experience with travelling independently and living with different kinds of people. I value open communication, respect, and a peaceful environment.
What I’m looking for through Workaway is not just a place to stay, but to learn new skills, contribute meaningfully, and getting to know different ways of life. I’m especially interested in opportunities involving sustainability, animals, nature, or permaculture.
Looking forward to meeting you :)) -

More details about your skills
I’m a reliable and hands-on person who enjoys being active and helpful in daily life. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and I’m happy to take on a variety of tasks depending on what’s needed.
I grew up on a horse riding farm - there were also chicken, goats, rabbits, pigs, donkeys, dogs, and cats. I really enjoy working with animals and would be very happy to help with their care. Since I grew up with horses, I'm comfortable being around them and enjoy riding them!
I like outdoor work in any weather and would love to help with gardening, simple maintenance, or farm tasks. I’m physically active, and I’m motivated to learn quickly if I don’t yet have experience with something.
I worked as an au-pair in London for 1 year for children aged between 3 and 10 years.
I worked a lot in hospitality during my studies, so I have experience with general household tasks such as cleaning, organising, cooking (vegetarian), and keeping spaces tidy and comfortable. I’m used to living with many people as I lived with roommates and in hostels before, so I’m respectful, adaptable, and easy to live and work with.
Creatively, I enjoy crocheting, photography, and writing, and other crafts. -
