  • Description

Hello! I'm Giada from Italy 🇮🇹
I embarked on my first solo trip as soon as I turned 18, and I've never stopped travelling since then!
I'm an academically trained linguist and a language lover 🫶🏼 I'm fascinated by the way multilingualism shapes our minds and the way our brain processes language 🧠
Travelling fuels my soul and changes my life every time. I'm a happy, adventurous, and ambitious person, always looking for opportunities to learn from other people and get to know other cultures.
Argentina was the place where I first left a piece of my heart ❤️ I kept leaving bits of it in many other countries like Spain, Portugal, Australia, Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, Norway, Malta, Vietnam, the US (and the list keeps going).
I volunteered before in exchange for food and accomodation and did a variety of things: I au-paired, baby-sat, and horse-sat in Australia, sold fruit for a backpacking community in Auckland, became a personal chef in Norway, picked apples in the Sonoran desert (yes, some wonderful humans do grow apples in the desert), and did other workaways here and there.
I think being a workawayer is a great opportunity to immerse oneself into new cultures while sharing your own — maybe around a table while eating some good food 😋 I enjoy cooking and making people try typical dishes from my country 🍝🍕
I have experience in hospitality, childcare, teaching, packing, housekeeping, farming and... sorting nuts (that's a long story)! 🥜
I can adapt myself quite easily and I'm always excited to try new things, learn new skills, and challenge myself.
I consider myself a solo traveller but I believe in the power of community and I'm open to meeting new people and sharing part of my journey with them 😄 Life put some amazing human beings along my road — people who became my family — and I'm looking forward to meeting more!
