  • Description

Hello! I'm Felipe, a Brazilian video editor and filmmaker currently living in Cuba, where I'm part of an international filmmaking community at the prestigious EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión). Before that, I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor's in Audiovisual Communications in Brazil.

I speak Portuguese (native), English (fluent, IELTS 8.0), and Spanish (advanced – I learned it here in Cuba, and I love improving it every day). I'm fascinated by languages and Latin American cultures, and my hope is to travel across the continent during my months off school while offering my creative and technical skills to meaningful projects.

I'm looking for work exchanges where I can help with video editing, social media content, photography, English teaching and conversation, guest services, computer maintenance, or any creative task – and in return, learn about your language, traditions, and daily life.

More details about my language interests
I speak Portuguese natively and English fluently, having lived in the United States for nine months, which gave me real-world confidence and cultural ease. I learned Spanish here in Cuba, surrounded by speakers from across Latin America and Spain, so I understand different accents and expressions naturally. As a freelance editor, I have corrected graduate‑level academic texts in English and helped graduate students improve their conversational skills. Although I have never taught English formally, teaching English (or Portuguese) is a genuine interest of mine. I'm also very interested in learning French — I had already started studying it before coming to Cuba, and I'm eager to practice and improve.

  • What else ...

I love dancing, painting, and drawing — they're my way of staying creative and having fun. I can also teach a step or two when it comes to Brazilian rhythms like samba or funk, so if you want to learn some moves, just ask! I'm also a big fan of co‑op board games, especially Zombicide.
