Hi!

I'm Emma, a 23-year-old from Finland. I work as a freelance photographer, producer and as a production assistant for a feminist theatre company. In the summers I've been working as a journalist.

I live in Helsinki with my partner Sofia, but I spend a lot of time in nature at my family's cottage. My family has a wonderful dog, Nelson, whom I love very much. Animals are so close to my heart. Other things I like are practicing yoga, reading, swimming, being in nature, surfing (or learning how to), playing football, cooking and watching films.

In 2019, I interrailed in Europe for two months and did three absolutely wonderful workaways in France and one on Mallorca. I was planning on returning to the wonderful French family I stayed with on Mallorca, and also to the wonderful Basque country I visited during my interrail, but covid stopped my plans.

The reason I'm traveling now is to visit one of my best friends in Madrid. I wish to do a Workaway afterwards to get to be in Spain a bit longer.

In my life, I'm really passionate about environmental topics, climate justice and human rights. For me, slowing down climate change and stopping the loss of biodiversity is one of the single-handedly most important things in our current world.
