Hello,
My name is Emma! I am a 24 years old French girl.
I have dreamed for years of traveling and discovering the world with its people and cultures. I would like to be everywhere at once. I’m still novice in the “solo” travelling experience.
I am easily lulled by the calm of the countryside or the noises of the city. Listening and learning from others is something very important to me. I also want to help people, socialise more, and be a person that people can rely on.
In my free time, I like reading and listening to music. Art is important for me, so I enjoy going to museums and art exibitions. When I have some free time, I also like to write stories. I grow cuttings from my plants and give them as gifts to my friends, but my dream would be to have my own garden.
I try to keep myself in shape by going to the gym regularly or by going for a run.
I obtained my master’s degree in chemistry in september 2023. I’m specialized in material chemistry, more precisely surface treatments. Thanks to my college studies and the multiple jobs I had, I've learned to adapt very easily to stressful situations, as well as handling difficult tasks. I had the opportunity to work in the medical, industry and luxury field.
I'm a calm and patient person who likes to take things slow. I like when things are tidy and clean, and especially organizing things. Sharing moments of conviviality with the people around me is really important for me, but I also greatly appreciate my personal time.
My favorite quote is : "We are here for a good time, not a long time." It helps me realize how we should always be gratetful about what we have in life and try to live at the fullest. :)Interests

More details about your skills
× Organization and personal investment in given missions are my strengths. I try to do things right, and especially thoroughly.
× English is a language that is close to my heart, and I continue to work on it a little more every day. My native language is French. I had many chances to talk with people in English during my trips. I learned it in school and passed the TOEIC test with a score of 955 points (C1 level).
I had the opportunity to learn spanish during high school but didn't have the chance to continue practicing it.
× I went horseback riding for 14 years but had to stop because of my college studies.
I enjoy taking care of animals and help in a SPA "Society for the Protection of Animals”, where I used to take out dogs on a walk or clean/feed them.
× I don't mind doing housework as well as work outside (such as gardening, or farm work). As a big sister, I've always loved taking care of younger ones. As the eldest in my family, my aunt often ask me to babysit my cousins (6, 14 and 16 years old). I try to find activites that they like doing (art, DIY, ...) or help them with their homeworks.
× Past workaway jobs :
- Norway (09/2023 - 11/2023 : 45days) : NGO campsite ¦ cooking for small or large group of guests, housekeeping and doing outside work (maintenance of buildings, construction work, gardening, taking care of the animals) with other volunteers or on my own.
- Northern Ireland (11/2023 : 7 days) : House Renovation ¦ housekeeping, general cleaning, babysitting.
- Ireland (12/2023 : 20 days) : Hostel ¦ Cleaning the guests' rooms and commun areas.
