Hello!

I'm Emma, I am an enthusiastic, easy-going person who loves trying new things and going to new places.
I'm going to be in Italy visiting family from mid-September to early October but in October I'd like to spend some time in another country or part of Europe, possibly for a few weeks, before I go home to Canada. I'm open to lots of different places, I'd like to explore some cities, but also love nature!
I'm originally from Salt Spring Island, BC, a small community with lots of nature.
Having grown up and lived on a shared community property, I am habituated to community living, helping out in the garden, and building a shared space.
At the moment, I'm working remotely, part-time, but I still have lots of free time to help out wherever I end up staying. I work in communications. Outside of work, I love doing creative things like writing and drawing, as well as reading, and of course traveling!

Work with Kids
I have worked at a camp counselor at 2 summer camps, and volunteered at a science themed summer camp. I'm comfortable with children, I've supervised groups of 10-15 kids from ages 5-12 and I'm good with organizing and leading games.

Farm Work
I grew up on a farm, so I have helped out lots with various tasks such as potting up, seeding, weeding, harvesting, etc. I love animals too, we have chickens.

Project Coordinator

I currently work as a project coordinator for Remarkable Communications. I have experience with photography, interviews, running social media accounts and designing websites.

What else ...

I participated in an EDE (ecovillage design education) course in Italy in 2023. It was a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and learn about the Social, Worldview, Ecological and Economic dimensions of sustainability.
